  1. I have been noticing some pretty weird stuttering on games recently so I decided to test and see if Gsync was working properly and this is what I saw. It seems the refresh rate (The number in the black box on the top left) isnt properly dropping to match the FPS (which you can see under the options). I even locked this test to 50 fps and the refresh rate still hovers around 100. Is this intended behavior? https://youtu.be/T8EBO8MClCM
  2. I just got a LG 27 GN800-B and the IPS glow is insane, it's very distracting when doing really anything that's relatively dark. The bottom left is particularly bad and is very visible when using it. Should I RMA it? https://imgur.com/a/mAfWKlT
  3. Ok so quick update. If I run the fans at 100% on the 3080 while running the Haven benchmark, which used to crash every time when I exit, it doesn't crash at all. However my GPU is only running at 80c when at stock fan speeds. Does this indicate that there may be a problem with the GPU? Is it overheating?
  4. Any clue on what may be the 2 things? Should I just be looking to replace both the CPU and the motherboard? Is there any chance that it could be the GPU?
  5. I tried my current 3080 thats crashing in another PC and it didn't crash. I did try a 2060 in my PC thats crashing and it also didnt crash. Granted it is way lower power than the 3080 and the crashing seems to have something to do with the power draw.
  6. I have been having this issue for a few months now where if I play a demanding game or run a benchmark for about 5 mins and then exit out, my entire PC will crash and reboot. I have narrowed it down to either the CPU or the motherboard being the cause of the issue since I have replaced the PSU and the RAM and that didnt help, and I tried the GPU in another PC and it worked fine. The only thing that has mitigated the issue is setting the GPU to prefer maximum performance in the NVCP however this doesn't always fix the issue. It seems to only happen when the GPU drops clock speed quickly down to idle clocks. Does anyone know if the CPU or the Motherboard is more likely to be causing this issue? My specs are RTX 3080 FE Ryzen 3800X ASUS X570-E Gaming 16GB DDR4 RAM Corsair RM850X
  7. Ok thats good. I was mostly asking in relation to the insider program which, in the past at least, has had major problems with anti cheat.
  8. What the title says. I know some insider builds in the past have had issues with anti cheat. Has anyone had any issues on Windows 11?
  9. Yeah it'll happen in games too. It seems to be a universal issue with it downclocking after being at high load for any extended amount of time.
  10. I'm having this issue where if I have my 3080 set to "Normal" under Power Management Mode it'll crash whenever downclocking to idle clocks from full load. This reliably happens when using the Heaven benchmark and letting it run the full benchmark then exiting. On "Normal" it'll crash the entire PC causing a reboot however if I use "Prefer Maximum Performance" it'll be just fine. Is this a sign of a bad GPU or is it something else? I've tried replacing my PSU (Corsair RM850X) and RAM and neither of those fixed the issue. I have a Ryzen 7 3800X CPU if that helps. EDIT more info: So when it crashes it'll be after it's back at the desktop. It'll linger on the desktop for up to 10 seconds before everything freezes (Mouse freezes, fans spin up) and the screen goes black. Now sometimes the display driver will crash and recover and the PC will be fine. Sometimes the screen goes black and the PC does a full reboot with no BSOD or anything. In fact it gives me no specific error in Event Viewer except for the fact that it shut down unexpectedly. If only the display driver crashes and recovers I get a nvlddmkm 13/14.
  11. Hi, I have been trying to fix this issue for weeks at this point and I have come up with no solution. So the problem I'm having is my PC will crash with no BSOD and restart itself seemingly after I play a game for any extended period of time and then exit it. So for example I played a match of Battlefield V and right after the match when going back to the menu, my entire PC froze and restarted itself. Same thing with Assassin's Creed Valhalla, I play for 30-45 mins, exit to the desktop, and it crashes, sometimes just the display driver crashes then recovers but sometimes the entire PC restarts itself. There also seems to be a 25%-ish chance that the games will crash when on a loading screen, for example I played Watch Dogs Legion and a good 1 out of every 5 times the game would crash when loading a new area. Same with AC Valhalla, Battlefield, really anything. The weird part is that it almost never crashes when actually in game. I can get through an entire 30 min BFV match without a single problem, it's only when exiting the match that it'll crash. I have tried, reinstalling GPU drivers with DDU, updating BIOS, uninstalling every piece of monitoring software, unplugging and uninstalling my Wacom tablet drivers, replacing my PSU, reinstalling Windows. Everything. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? SPECS GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 FE CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X PSU: Seasonic Focus GX 850 Mobo: ASUS Rog Strix X570-E Gaming
  12. I currently have a LG UK650-W. I know it's HDR brightness isn't "true" HDR but is it better in any way than just using SDR? I noticed while playing AC Valhalla that there was less banding in HDR mode but the overall picture looks way dimmer.
  13. So I have a Ryzen 3800X and I noticed that it's hitting 80C+ in some games and on Cinebench. For example, it'll spike to 82C on Assassin's Creed Origins pretty regularly and it jumps right up to 82C on Cinebench. Is this normal for a 3800X on a NH D15? Also on a side note, what's everyone's opinion on the be quiet! Dark Rock 4? I was thinking of getting that regardless.
  14. Yeah this is the only thing that pushes the temps past around 75C. Thanks!
  15. I'm currently running Folding@Home and my Ryzen 3800X is hitting a peak temp of around 85C on Full Power. Is this too high for this? I'm running with a Noctua NH-D15.
