  1. I have a home file server that I use to save various things too and run plex on, I was wondering if there was a way that I could remotely access the folders on this and be able to save to it and pull files from it when not on my home network. I have the server port forwarded already but don't know the best way to connect to it. Thanks
  2. I have an idea for a different air intake port that ill post on here later tonight, I'll take some pictures and see what you guys think. Thanks for all of the suggestions so far.
  3. Any ideas on how I might be able to fix the vacuum? I been tipping the case and it just takes a really long time and I was wondering g if it might be something that I am able to fix. @NickPickerWI @Windows7ge
  4. My water loop only seems to be draining less than half way. I have a drain port at a relatively low point and I open up the top of my reservoir but the coolant seems to get stuck in the top of the loop which doesn’t make sense to me. Any ideas are much appreciated.
  5. Got the symbolic link to work, picture library is up and running thanks so much for the help guys
  6. This command got me back into the Raid1 drive so I am good to go there again and back to figuring out how to get plex to recognize files on the drive @AlefI ran the command ln -s /media/alex/Raid1/Photos/Alex Photos /home/alex but nothing happened, I got some link documents in my home folder but they say that they are broken links. Does this command look ok?
  7. @Mikensan @Alef Thanks for the help, I will try this when I get a chance and post results back here. Thanks so much for your help.
  8. @AlefIt looks like the user alex is a part of every group except root There is permissions for the drive I am trying to access
  9. @AlefThe name of my user is alex and I am not sure what group the user belongs to. I am trying to figure that out now. This is the error that I keep getting when trying to open the drive.
  10. I believe that it has something to do with the chgrp -R command I ran. Is there any way to reverse that?
  11. @AlefThanks, one of the commands I ran earlier messed up the drive and I am now unable to access it. I am unsure which command did this and I don't know how to fix it. Is there any way to reset permissions to default?
  12. @AlefWhats the best way to go about doing that, I am pretty new to Linux
  13. I tried running ls -l /media/alex/Raid1/Photos but nothing happened I also tried running sudo chmod 644 /media/alex and sudo chgrp -R alex /media/alex/Raid1/Photos and chgrp -R alex /media The plex permissions support page suggested to run those and still nothing works I also found a plex tuner service logs as well @Jarsky
  14. @Jarsky Ran the command and still isn't working
  15. @JarskyThanks, I will try that when I get a chance and let you know
  16. @Electronics Wizardy chmod command didn't work @Jarsky This is what came up
  17. The whole system is set up on a Dell Poweredge T610, so it has a dedicated raid controller. How would I go about checking the permissions, it has whatever the default permissions are because that’s not something I have changed
  18. Its all set up on an old Dell server, Raid is run through the motherboard. I'm using the server as a backup with redundancy I would assume it has admin privileges, plex can see the Raid1 drive but doesn't show any files in it Sorry if I don't fully answer all of your questions I'm semi-new to Linux @Electronics Wizardy
  19. So I am trying to set up a Plex server photos library on Ubuntu. I have two virtual drives (4 physical). One is raid 0, for movies and music and none crucial data, and the other is raid 1, for pictures and redundancy. I am trying to make the plex photos library on the Raid 1 drive but whenever I make a library and point it to a folder on the raid1 drive Plex doesn't recognize it. I have gotten a photos library to work on the raid 0 drive but would like it on the Raid 1 drive. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
  20. My cousin has a Strix X370 F Motherboard that has worked perfectly fine up until today. He has an orangeish light that is flashing. The system boots into windows for a couple of minutes but then the monitor shuts off and the system is unresponsive. We have tried CMOS battery, reseating the RAM, and different outlets but the computer won't seem to stay in windows. The bios is stable which makes me think it could be a windows issue. I can't seem to find an answer to the problem but I have seen multiple people with this issue. If any of you guys have any ideas or solutions it would be much appreciated. Thanks
  21. @Neo-revo Need to mount a combo unit, I knew that Phanteks has the pump mount and the res mount, just no pump res combo mount. I am just gonna end up drilling some holes in the case.
