  1. Same,. im absolutely in love with mine, extremely minimal BLB and overall a tank
  2. while ity does work over x4 m.2 slots its still only X4 so i cant see why youd want to unless it for mining where it used commonly
  3. 1080p with a 1080ti is big waste of money unless they're 240hz or unless you'll solely use the tv for gaming and the monitors for anything else
  4. after moving to 144hz back in 2014 and 240hz this year even my 120hz ultrawide feels a little slugish compared to the 240, id take 240hz 1080p on my AW2518H withGsync for that butter over a 4k 60hz monitor any day
  5. the AOC, both of those sammy panels have some pretty ugly ghosting
  6. besides ebay pretty much nowhere, they arent sold like that, itd be cheaper to just buy one complete and just sell the cables
  7. Steve from HU's benchmarks show the 970 getting its ass handed to it by the 1060
  8. overclocked it matches a 1070, 1070ti would be over a Titan X (Maxwell)
  9. itll be fine since theres no cpu air cooler in the between. this was a very common setup with the Corsair 800D that had abysmal airflow,
  10. you can buy the connectors seperately
  11. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hifi-PALIC-IE8-IE80-earphone-upgrade-cable-brand-new-/162143591524 much longer lasting than those cheapo cable
  12. you definitely can build your own although is maybe 10% more expensive to just buy one premade
  13. have you thought about a high gauge custom cable? probably last you a lifetime
  14. id kill for that, itd be overkill but very welcome addition to my mame emulator
  15. it says VGA because its an acronym for Video Graphics Adapter
  16. yes it would wourk, but youd be dropping your fps quite a bit for no improvement
  17. Yep, the Acer and Asus panels have waaaaaaay too many quality control issues and run at 75hz native instead of 100 and you have a 120hz guaranteed OC on the Alienware where as you might reach 100hz on the others if you're lucky, and that's assuming you aren't abvuctim of all the other shoddy qc issues
  18. if 16;9 is enough you may want to check out the asus PG279Q or the acer xb271hu, both are 1440p Gsync ips panels that hit 144hz
  19. i wouldnt buy a monitor without adaptive sync tech after using it but the vast was a great price, i bought one for my office, but at the same time i would rather get higher guaranteed performance at lower power and thermals than lower performance for the sake of freesync which doesnt even have that good of a freesync range so youll still get tearing on anything that you arent getting real high fps on 1080ti any day for the extra 30-35%over Vega 64
  20. the i3-8350K would be a better choice for gaming than the 1600 since its essentially a 7700K with hyperthreading disabled
  21. Regardless, at 8X you still won't see performance drops
