  1. I quit Counter Strike after Source. I quit Final Fantasy after 12. That game was so bad... Tried getting into 15, couldn't. The active combat mechanic is not what I wanted from a final fantasy game. I did play the FF7 remake, but only out of nostalgia. I haven't bought a single EA game after they ruined SimCity and closed servers left and right for games. Like DarkSpore. Lost all interest in Diablo after D3. Didn't buy or play D4. Age of Empire. I quit after the 2nd game. So many more that I'm forgetting... For good reason. I never got into CoD, Battlefield, MoH and the likes that were getting a new game every year or two. Never got into Assassin Creed either.
  2. What is a whatnot live stream? They do host the WAN show and other livestream on floatplane, yes.
  3. You can remove trusted devices if you can log into the account on a computer. You can recover an account through various means as well, even if 2fa is enabled. I would suggest getting the backup codes at the very least. I store mine in a Keepass database. But you can use Bitwarden or the likes. All you need to do, is remember that one password and possibly share it across multiple devices. You could put that keepass database on a CD or usb drive someone and just... forget about it until the day you need it if your codes never change.
  4. That's... Weird. Usually when you place the order, it will say right then and there how much the tax is. It shouldn't suddenly change after the fact. That wording make it weird for sure. Maybe they means it in a "once you've filled all the boxes, the tax will show the proper number". After entering my address, the estimated tax went from $3.50 to $11.98. Which is accurate for where I live (Canada).
  5. If IPSs want to act like children and just keep lying about the services they offer, lets treat them as such and make them do this ridiculous thing. They've been allowed for way too long to get away with their shady practices.
  6. Looking at the comment section... It seems people are mostly mad about the price and him saying "portable screen that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg" when it's over $800 (+89$ for the pen).... And the fact an ipad pro is about the same price, same resolution and doesn't need a computer to connect it to... What they seems to be ignoring is the fact this is not just a touch screen portable monitor. It's a DRAWING portable screen. "Designed for creatives, professionals and people who need to perform at their best, anywhere. " - their FAQ. It's different from a regular touch screen. It's made to compete with the likes of Wacom... which are even more expensive. Not the iPad. https://estore.wacom.com/en-us/wacom-cintiq-pro-17-dth172k0a.html The closest equivalent display is the Cintiq 17 Pro at $2.5k. 4k, 1.07B colors and 99% DCI-P3 colour space. Basically the same display specs as the Espresso 17 (they claim 100% DCI-P3 but shortcircuit video says it's closer to 98). Which is less than half the price. Maria made the comment that it wasn't as accurate as what she is used to. Now there's little to no available specs on the Apple Pen or iPas as far as precision points goes(or any other specs that matter, thanks Apple )... But the Espresso's pen is around 4000 precision points while the wacom is double that at 8192 . Looking at reviews online, it seems like the ipad pro with an apple pen is close to Wacom on that side of things. Which could explain her thoughts on that matter as far as precision goes. My only complaint with that video, is that they pretend like it's just for Mac with that title. It is why I hadn't even watched it in the first place because I wasn't interested in a product for Apple computers. But it also is compatible with Windows. Which they did not mention once in the video. Had they made this video showcasing it as a drawing tablet on your Windows PC instead of pushing the ridiculous "touchscreen for Mac" narrative, it probably would've worked better. Overall, bad execution. But it doesn't mean it isn't worth the price for what you get. Especially if you're not deep in the Apple Eco-system and want to add a "creative" display with a touchscreen to your Windows computer for design work. Amateur or semi pro.
  7. Even though I was working, my co-workers decided they wanted to go outside to see it... I followed because I wasn't about to be the only one who would be working like a dumbass when even my boss went out to see it. We were on the very edge of the totality path. Got to see it for about 30s from the moment the sun got hidden completely to when it restarted showing up again. The halo of rainbow all around the sun as it was slowly getting covered up was a nice touch from the devs. Maybe in the future I'll make some travel plans to go somewhere straight in the middle of the totality. We will be getting a total Lunar eclipse next year (bloodmoon). https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2025-march-14 Blacktown, NSW, Australia will be straight in the middle of it in 2028 https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/australia/blacktown?iso=20280722
  8. Ah yes, how dare these shady browsers change default settings... Any other app you will see a screen popup asking if you want to make that your default app. But browsers? Nope. You need to manually configure it. It's bullshit.
  9. Because they are made with consoles in mind first. Optimizing it for 1 or 2 hardware variant is much easier than doing the same with millions of different ones. Two nearly identical PCs with a motherboard and CPU being different could completely change the way a game is handled by the system. Also because there's "more money" to be made on console than on PC. It's easier to get in console gaming than PC gaming. From a cost and time perspective. Along with the fact more than a few publishers see PC gamers as second class citizens, because we're all filthy pirates according to them.
  10. Because I don't just play games and I wanted the best bang for my buck. A pre-built PC would've been fine, but for the same price or slightly bit more, I could have a much better custom PC. A console is fine if all you do if play games... But I spent the majority of my time on the internet or on some other application. Not in games.
  11. We usually at least have 2 choices in most places (not fake choices where they pretend to serve an area for the FTC when they only have connectivity to a single house in the entire block, like what we hear about US ISPs). Along with third party resellers who resell the same packages for slightly cheaper in exchange for less support. Honestly I'm just surprised you could keep a cloud recording for that long in the first place. Personally, I haven't had a TV service in my home for the past 4 years. Haven't felt the need for it, everything is available on the internet anyway.
  12. Why is it that whenever something happens to some random e-celebrity, suddenly we can't make any jokes at all or risk getting cancelled... I have no clue who this minecrafter is. Never heard of them. Nor do I care. There are women getting assaulted every day in the world, why is this particular event worthy of "too soon" and not the million others? Just because you happen to know of some recent event with someone you watch(ed), doesn't mean everyone else know of the same event as you. To me the "recent event" involving LMG, was the whole Madison debacle that happened MONTHS ago, if not years at this point if you consider she left in december of 2021. Everything that may or may not have happened in other communities is inconsequential here, why even bring it up. Saying a joke is "too soon" because of some recent event you know... Is entirely ridiculous simply based on the fact we are not a hive mind and we don't all know what you're thinking about. If we go by that logic, it is ALWAYS too soon. Because someone out there either recently experienced it themselves or know someone who has. Stop trying to gatekeep low level comedy. It's just that. Nothing more. Low taste for sure, but that's all it is. These bad sexual jokes have been the bread and butter of LTT since the start. This is nothing new. Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.
  13. I'm working that day. I ain't seeing the sun from 6am to 6pm. https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list.html Here's the list of the next few eclipses if you miss out or if you don't live in the red path. Always possible to travel in the next few years to any of the locations where there will be an eclipse.
  14. I find many PCs in the trash on the side of the road. No one brings them to the eco center. It's not uncommon.
  15. They were likely all on holiday yesterday and the forum doesn't have a way to send out a thread at an exact time/date automatically.
  16. Why does AT&T even have social security numbers of people... It's weird how Americans are giving their unique identification numbers that can't be changed easily to whichever company that asks for it, when it should really only be given to your employer, your bank and the government. Or at least, that's how it is in Canada. I wonder what AT&T will do to make this right... When we had a leak with Desjardins (a sort of bank in Quebec), they provided 5 years of free Equifax Premier to all members... Which is kind of pointless as the crims can simply wait out the 4 years before they start abusing the information they got.
  17. In florida, it is. https://uavcoach.com/drone-laws-florida/ You're also not allowed to fly a drone in any state parks https://www.floridastateparks.org/plan-your-visit/faqs Find more about drone laws in Florida https://pilotinstitute.com/drones/states/florida/
  18. With that budget, I'm sorry to say you are not really getting anything much better than what you currently have. Save up and wait. GTA5 should run with no issues with those specs. Pretty sure the same goes for the rest.
  19. Man, if you buy something only to open it and find out its fake... How do you go about to convince the store you got a fake and you're not trying to finesse them.
  20. Oh no... The forum went all Comic Sans again.
  21. The video is not early. It came out when somewhere in the world was the 1st of April. UTC+14:00 https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/utc14 https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/kiribati/kiritimati Current time over there matches with when the video came out. The video was released at 06:14:52AM (EST). Which means it was 14 minutes past midnight on the 1st of April in Kiritimati. Source : Youtube data viewer
  22. Monitor brightness depends on the monitor itself. Mine is set at 45, because it is enough. There's very little difference between 50 and 100 on my monitor. Then... I don't use any of the "night light" built-in stuff. They don't go far enough. I just use "lightbulb". 6250k color + 90% brightness during daytime and 2680k + 40% brightness during night time (These are the settings I found worked best for me, with HDR OFF. Night time colors and brightness need to be higher if I leave HDR enabled all the time). With a transition of 1 hour. Can be easily disabled if I want to watch a movie and activate HDR. Lights on during the day and lights out at night. I experience little to no eye issues concerning my monitor's brightness. On my phone, I use "twilight" to essentially do the same thing and reduce the brightness and colors.
  23. Hot damn this CPU uses a lot of power by itself. AMD being at the top of the charts for points per watt is not surprising in the least. I for one am really hopeful that the chiplet design Intel is working on will finally bring that power usage back down. This is getting ridiculous.
  24. How about all those youtube channel that takes content off Reddit and just have a TTS voice over to read it? There's tools to do all this automatically with little to no inputs from the channel owner. Would that be included since "realistic sound" could include the rudimentary AI powered TTS voice over we have these days or would it fall into the crack since it technically isn't "altered content" and is just stolen content?
