  1. Hi! I am looking into purchasing a SmartThings hub so i can expand my smart home devices into zWave and ZigBee devices rather then just my WiFi ones. One of the major ups i see is the afordability of devices, particularly zWave. One device that is a must, and will end up decided which hub i purchase is a Speaker & Or Siren. I need to be able to either A. Upload my own audio files to it and have it played by the hub on request. or B. Have some sort of siren that is pre loaded with different chimes. It needs to be able to be placed inside of my bed room as it will be used to wake me up in the middle of the night, not for security purposes and not wake up other members of my family. I have looked for AGES now at different sirens however they are all either wayyyy to loud or have a really shitty siren intended for an outdoor or indoor security use. It will be going off around 2 times every day and so for it to be not too loud and not some really shitty annoying sound is important. If you have any suggestions then leave them below! Thanks.
  2. Once you go to 144hz you will never go back. If you REALLY want a 3 monitor set up then i would suggest purchasing one 144hz monitor currently. If you have a monitor now that you are happy with then just buy the same one again. That way you have one nice monitor in the middle and 2 ok ones on the side. But as suggested for most 'gmaing' experiences go UW.
  3. Hey, So i currently have a ASUS VG258Q 24.5inch FreeSync & G-Sync Compatible 144Hz Gaming Monitor and im looking for 2 new monitors to sit beside it. As i spend alot of time developing software applications, editing videos and gaming (who would have guesed) it would be nice to finall have a few more monitors. I am looking for possibly the cheapsest which would fit the description of: 24.5 Inch 1080p 16:9 Cheap. The colour quality, response time etc dosent need to be outstanding as all it will have displayed is an application i made, discord, spotify, Visual Stuadio etc, nothing requiring high frame rates. The monitor i have is really expensive and it find it impracticle to just buy 2 more when it will never be used to its full potential. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Built it in early 2016 and was wondering how you all think it would stand up today. In my experince it is working fine however i will upgrade within the next 6 months. 5. Buying a 144hz monitor and then running on 60hz for about the next year. Couldent even tell the difference but once i switched it over it looked like a brand new game. Thanks Nvidia.
  6. Looking at cooling a Rzen 5 3600 in a new build. Currently got my eye on the Cooler Master Master Liquid ML340 Any other recommendations (was looking at NZXT Coolers) is appreciated. Also is it a bit over kill? Not enough? Oh my plz help
  7. Hi thanks for the input. Ill try to justify some of my choice and you can tell me if you think they are all good. CPU: You agree. Motherboard: You agree. Memory: This one you may not like. This is my second build and while 200Mhz extra may see some improvements i am looking for some astetics. Thats why i chose the T-Force Delta RGB 16 GBs. Storage: I was speaking with a friend of mine and originaly i was going to go with a normal SATA SSD. He reccomened a M.2 NVMe SSD and after some discussion i agreed. However, i am simply looking to store Windows and maybe a small steam libray. No file storage. I have some Hard drives in my current PC that i would transfer over. GPU: You agree keeping the current one is still OK. Case: I took a look at the case you suggested and while it may look alright, the one i had picked out has much better cable management options aswell as being able to mount the GPU verticly. Some people suggest against it for air flow reaosn but after tests i looked at its about a 2 or 3 degree difference. Not to mention the H510i some with some pretty RGB. PSU: Non modular. Sure you could stash it all below the PSU shroud however i might go custom cables in the future. Also no mention of the CPU cooler??
  8. Hey, thanks so much for the help. 650 - 700 sounds about right without the GPU.
  9. Also suggested prices for selling with and without the GPU!
  10. So recently to my surprise my sister informed me that she wishes to get a PC. Now, iv had mine for a couple of years (Built Jan 2016) and have been doing some work into putting a parts list together for a new build. Just now the though of selling mine to her and then just purchasing the new parts crossed my mind. Current PC: **THE GPU IS INCORRECT** I actually have a GTX 1060 6GB. PC PartPicker does not have any 6GB versions with prices. 11. Basically, a four button wireless launchpad.
  12. Thanks for the reply. The station currently opperates multiple PCs and a dedicated server. The station has multiple in roof speakers that works as a PA system. Years ago the system would read the call out over the PA and recently i saw that they all still work. While a group chat might sound like a good idea the problem is more that people dont have a reason to be hurrying. We are quite a large brigade and as such only have 4 mins to respond a truck and looking at your phone is deffinetly not encouraged. Radios could be a possibility if mounted inside of the trucks, which would also be able to support different information being projected however it would take up to much time and require to much thought for the officer in charge (Its gotta be 50yr old man proof ). For one of four buttons to be pressed (each signaling that a differernt type of person is required) would be simple, fast and reliable. The plan is as follows: Button 1: OIC Required Button 2: Driver Required Button 3: Breating App. Operator Required Button 4: Firefighter Required Each would have a mp3 file simply saying "Pumper OIC Required" or what ever is indicated. Sorry if i havent been clear enough before hand. Josh.
  13. Hi, Thanks for the suggestion however as stated im not very good with stuff like that. The whole putting it together and then programming it scares me. Can you think of any Bluetooth (Or Simular) remote and software packages? Thanks.
  14. Trust me, its only going to be used to request more people and to tell them to hurry up. We currently have a problem where alot of people show up but don't get in their gear. The hopes are that the sound system will alart them as to what is still required in terms of maning the truck.
