  1. Hi everyone, I bought Forza Motorsport 7 through the Windows store when it released. I initially installed it on my D:/ drive, but when I bought a separate SSD I had to uninstall it so I could make the SSD my system drive. After that, I reinstalled it on the D:/ drive, but after a few months it randomly disappeared, and when I go to the Windows Store it says it encountered problems and needs to be reinstalled. But now, when I go to install it again, it doesn't let me select my D:/ drive as the designated drive for the game to download on (it only lets me select the main C:/ drive), even though I know the drive is plugged in and I can access files on it. Why would this be the case?
  2. Wow, I wasn't aware of that second part. That's actually very useful information- I think I'll just invest in a webcam instead. Thanks a ton!
  3. Forza games on PC have always been weird for me, I don't have Horizon 4 on PC but I had the same issue with Forza 7. Try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if it still happens.
  4. Hello everyone, I currently have a Canon EOS Rebel T4i and amidst all of this online schooling, I am looking to use it as a webcam. I have tried Sparkocam, which has a big watermark and the video always comes out pretty laggy. Is there another (cheap) way to use a Canon DSLR as a webcam for things like Google Hangouts/Google Meet? Thanks!
  5. Hey everyone, I am trying to buy RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 (nostalgia purposes) and I want to buy it on Steam because G2A has it for pretty cheap as a Steam code. But, on the Steam page for Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, there is no actual option to buy the game, so I'm assuming they don't sell it anymore. So if I were to get a code off of G2A and redeem it using the Add a Game -> Activate a Product on Steam option, would it let me download the game? Here's the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2700/RollerCoaster_Tycoon_3_Platinum/ Thanks!
  6. I swear, Amazon pricing for used items is always on some shit. Have you ever looked for shoes on Amazon and seen the price range be like $60-$10,000?
  7. Hey everyone, I have this weird display glitch that happens in Minecraft in versions above 1.12.2. A few seconds after I reach the main menu, the game does this display glitch (image shows it below). I have restarted the game several times and I also did a full reinstall, but it still does this. But, again, it only happens in versions 1.13 and up, so I can use 1.12.2 and below just fine. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? If it helps, my GPU is an RX 460 2GB and I am using a Freesync 1440p monitor. I also have a 2nd 1080p monitor, but that doesn't really matter. Thanks!
  8. So the Gigabyte Gaming Box RX 580 (https://wikibuy.com/p/gigabyte-gaming-box-rx-580-8-g-g/VJLBTBLSSJ?run=3985de26-401f-4d83-8981-fa6add988af2) could be used with Bootcamp?
  9. Hey everyone, My friend is thinking about buying a Mac mini, running Bootcamp on it, and using an eGPU. What eGPUs will work for both Mac and Windows?
  10. Will the computer just act weird but be able to technically be used? Because if that happens then I could just set up the PC, use a Windows installation drive, and reinstall Windows 10 without losing my personal data, right?
  11. Hi everyone, I have recently decided to build a new PC, considering that value these days is way better than it was when I built mine in early 2017. So, I have made a build that I will buy piece by piece, but here's my question: I already have a 1 TB hard drive (normal storage) and a 500 GB SSD (games, Windows, etc) in my current system. Yes, storage is pretty cheap now too, but I also would like to keep my data. Is it possible to re-use my drives in the new system? I know it is "possible," especially with the 1 TB one- there isn't anything that would most likely affect the new system on it, but I'm more worried about the SSD. I heard that I can't just plug the old SSD into the completely new PC and boot up the same copy of Windows without there being issues. Is this true? Thanks!
  12. Nah, wasn't planning on selling it. But thanks!
  13. Ok. Anything about the general procedure of swapping?
  14. Warning! Some Intel Z170 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
  15. Thanks! Weird question- how do you update the BIOS? I need to update it in order to use the i5-7400 with that mobo.
  16. Hi everyone, About two years ago I got an Acer Aspire ATC-780A-UR12 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883101530) and added an RX 460, EVGA 500W power supply (yes, the crappy cheap one), and a Crucial MX500 SSD. Recently, I have wanted to get an RX 580 card but I realized that this case can't really fit anything that big inside it. So, I have decided to do a motherboard and case swap to not only fit the new card in the future but allow more expansion. So, because my budget is about $150, I have come up with this: NZXT H500 (I would link but you probably know what that is lol) ASRock B250M-HDV mATX mobo (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KWjWGX/asrock-b250m-hdv-micro-atx-lga1151-motherboard-b250m-hdv). I picked this board because it needs to work with an i5-7400. So, knowing that these are compatible (or at least according to PCPartPicker), I have two questions: 1. Are these the best options to buy? Is there any downside to either the case or the mobo? 2. Do you have any tips on how to go about switching both the mobo from the old PC and the case as well? (I am a beginner who has not actually fully built a PC before, the only experience I have is adding those additional parts mentioned earlier). Thanks!
  17. Even 570s don't come at that size. At least, the two that do can't be bought anywhere.
  18. I guess I should probably go for a 1060. I'll just have to give up Freesync on my monitor lol, the whole reason why I wanted a Radeon was for the freesync.
  19. About 19 mm. Sorry forgot to put that in.
  20. 191 mm. And as for extra length, probably only 19 mm.
  21. Ok so my build sucks but it works so.. I bought an Acer workstation, which consists of an i5-7400, 8gb RAM, 1 TB hard drive (which I have since added another 500GB SSD), an EVGA 500W (which, to answer your question, is the crappy budget 80+ standard version (you probably know what I'm talking about). I also added the RX 460 into it. So, as you can see, I need it compact because those prebuilt workstations don't have expansion in mind. The hard drive bays stick out so even if a card could fit it would probably be impossible to install.
  22. Hi everyone, I'm looking to upgrade from a RX 460 and I'm thinking of getting the MSI RX 580 V1 (the one fan version) because of its compact size. I know that in general the RX 580 is a good card, but I was wondering if: A) Will this card run with an EVGA 500W power supply? B) Will the single fan hinder the performance of the card at all? I only ask this because it seems like this is the only single-fan RX 580 I could find, so I assume there might a reason for that. If you need any more information about my build just let me know. I kind of am not caught up at all on computer hardware and not only that but I'm not the most experienced so don't judge. Thanks!
