  1. So does that mean I can’t get a i7?!? Lmao.
  2. Yea! I also don't really like the whole - 2 hour battery life thing, although I am beside a plug 24/7 I think it could be annoying at times. @Fixinit1 This question Kinda goes to both of you, I don't really plan on gaming on the laptop, Due to what ever you really can get in this price range its sub par at best for games, But do you think its worth it to still go with dGPU over a normal plan GPU? Most of my options i have a 1050/1050ti because the price range is around the same with or without, so I though why not... Is the upgrade of CPU and GPU worth it?
  3. Hey, So ive narrowed it down to a couple of laptops. The main thing im doing in school is working with Alot of tabs, And Excel files. Big files. 4. So, 100% That would not effect the speed of programs?! Having no dGPU
  5. Holy! Sweet thanks for the options, Ill make sure to check them all out! Question tho.. Say there are 2 Laptops. (This is just a example I would not actually buy this) Laptop #1 Lenovo Laptop IdeaPad Has a i7 7th Gen 7500U Intel HD Graphics 620 Laptop #2 Acer Nitro 5 i5-7300HQ GTX 1050 Ti 4GB. Ok. This is not really a good test But What I really wanted to say, Is if they have the same CPU, but one has a 1050, or 1050 ti wouldn't it be a much better idea to get that, Then to get another Laptop that has only Integrated graphics?
  6. Aye! I was going to @ you because you seem very informative. 1) okay. 2) uhm, 15inch is fine. Anything lower then that is eh... not a fan, 1080 x 1920 Would be nice. 3) Well, When you have like 50 students in the class, I really dont want to be the last one completing something, And I do like snappy processes. And by speed I really meant like, yea I guess working on files, with slim to no lag or wait time...
  7. Hello, So, I'm currently in school for Operations Management, And I need a better laptop then my current MacBook Air 2017 i5. The reason for this, Is I do a lot of heavy Excel documents, ranging from 5-15Gb files at times, Although the Mac can handle it, The laptop is like touching Lava... And I don't like that. Plus I have to use Bootcamp, in class to access Windows, and I also don't want that. I am currently selling my MacBook. So mu budget for the new laptop is 1,200/1,300 Before Tax, I am only paying that much if the laptop will actually last for some time. I bought the Mac because I had some bad experiences with the HP ENVY x360 Being way to loud, with the fans spinning up, So, I'm having a hard time picking the best Laptop for my needs. Not sure if a Gamming laptop would be ok, I know they have bad battery times, But they have a lot of power Needs (wants) Speed. The ability to have multiple windows open, with slim to no lag. I don't really care about weight, But anything over 5lb is to much. Upgradable RAM slots from 8gb to 16gb would be nice. Battery life would be nice. But I am mostly near a plug 24/7 So I don't really mind. i7 7700 ( was what I was told would be good) GPU I don't really care, (IF it doesn't do anything for Excel file load times) HEAT this is a big one, I really dont like the laptop getting to hot to the touch, Spooks me. Fans I like quiet, Its awkward for me when i'm sitting in a lecture and all you hear is my fan. Looks.. eh... I kind of like the sleeker looking laptops, Although If that creates more heat then no thanks. SIDE NOTE: I AM CANADIAN - IF YOU LINK SOMETHING, PLEASE MAKE SURE ITS FROM CANADA! The price difference form USA to Canadian prices are WAY different so most thing well not fit my budget plus I dont want to ship from USA Hella high shipping $$$
  8. Yea. Like something like a GPU, for Games i'm guessing? Is not really important to me no, I really Just need speed for things like Heavy Excel tasks, Bug files, Multiple windows, And something that is going to last.. and im not going to have to buy something within a couple of years
  9. Hey, So im currently trying to sell my Macbook Air 2017 With an i5 in it, He would buy it, If I could upgrade it ""Safely to an i7"" Is it possible to Upgrade? Can you buy the Chips? NEEDS TO BE CANADIAN IF YOU LINK SOMETHING https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/buy-mac/macbook-air?product=MQD32LL/A&step=config# This is the Mac, I know you can Buy the i7 But I was wondering if you can upgrade it. Thanks
  10. They Look like Great options, But again, I'm Canadian. The MSI GL62M 7REX-1896US tho, Is what I was looking at, It looks pretty Decedent, and its on sale for 1k, Plus I can upgrade the RAM to another 8GB stick
  11. That think is sweet! Im currently in class at the moment. But im not able to see it on the Canadian Website, or even create my own.... so I’m not sure. But that thing is sweet! EDIT: the only option I can find with this laptop is from Walmart. And it’s 2000$. And that is way out of my price range.
  12. Yes it’s manly excel, plenty of tabs too, and big files like I said. I do have constant access to a plug yes. So that is not really an issue. (:
