If you get something that supports QMK, you could flash it, and use it without having any software installed on your PC. I think Taran actually showed a USB thing you could use to make any keyboard compatible with QMK.
most gaming keyboard manufacturers have sotware that let you remap keyboards (some with even multiple layers). I remember taran has made *atleast 1* video on LTT about this. check on his own channel too. i cba to find it myself.
So, my 2080 Ti FE arrived yesterday. I've been using my old 1060 6GB until it arrived. After swapping it out I'm getting roughly the same playback and export performance accross both cards.
The projects I'm working on are mostly 1080/25 final exports using 4K/25, 1080/100 and 1080/50 footage from Sony A7Sii/Rii and Canon C100/200 cameras. I use minimal effects and light grading (mostly just some colour correction).
If anyone else is using this card, I'd be interested to hear how its performing.
I'm using the latest Nvidia driver, windows is up to date, all Adobe apps are up to date.
Gaming performance is as expected. Tested with BF1 and getting 170-200 fps at 1080 on ultra settings.
Here are a few Log entries from AME to show whats happening for export.
I'm using a 7820x, 32gb RAM, 1060 6GB (I've got a 2080 Ti FE on preorder, not sure if I'll regret that), and game intstall on 960 EVO NVMe. I'm getting under 40 FPS @1080 regardless of quality settings.
Would be good to see what other people are getting.
I really like Puget Systems benchmarks, they're incredibly helpful.
I think I'm pretty much set on my parts until the 2080ti and 2950x are available, I may see if I can scrape together some extra cash to get 64gb RAM from the start but I dont think it'll be too necessary.
