as an 7700x owner who upgraded from a 9900k, all I can say is!  This will be an AMAZING upgrade!   Just remember to download all the drivers ( I used ASUS ARMORY CRATE )  and set your ram to EXPO so you run the fastest speed. If you bought the WIFI version of the board you need to download the WIFI drivers and use the antenna that comes with the board to get WIFI, the antenna also works as a bluetooth reciever for your wireless gamepads etc.

Not only do you need a chassis you need fabric interconnects as well to connect them to the network. Plus you need IOM modules in the chassis to connect to the FIs. It's not a simple plug and play. Don't forget storage too if the blades don't have storage you'll need to figure out something there.

The chassis+blades will pull at least 2kW+ of power easy 🙂

the key is how much you'd get for the 2070S, and the most efficient thing to do is for one of u to just sell the 3060ti off brand new while u keep the 2070S

Negotiate the price from your friend as it's a giveaway card. I would do the switch if your PSU is fine with it. It seems you will not lose any money or lose little to non for extra performance.

If you're not happy with the price you will have to pay after selling your existing GPU then don't.

There is only a 6% difference on average of fps in different games so for now stick with your existing gpu

    So update on the server

I attempted everything to get the WD Reds to work in the server but from what I am gathering the third part drive caddys (which are the only ones you can get without buying HP drives that already have caddys on them) have issues with some drives. Also I see that someone is selling third party drive caddys with seagate drives online and that is making me think that it is either a server to server thing or it might work with seagate drives but I have yet to test with a spare seagate HDD.Not sure on how the official HP drive caddys take non HP drives either

What I ended up having to do to get HDDs for the server is to bite the bullet and order some HP drives, I ordered 3 4TB 7200rpm 3.5" HP drives and will be doing the same as I was going to with the 3 WD Reds. I ended up getting them for $50 a drive used from ebay with the original HP caddys on them (they were listed for $58 but made an offer and got 3 for $150 with free shipping). It really sucks that HP got so proprietary with this generation and up, but the worst part is that the only mass storage drives that you can get for them are 4TB ones and they only have a 1 year warranty from new where WD for instance has a 5 year warranty from new.

I also ordered an HP 450GB 15k rpm 3.5" SAS driveoff ebay aswell, it was a little over 30 but did not have the original caddy with it. I ordered this since I didn't think the 120GB kingston drive would work for OS with all the incompatibi;ity issues I have been having. Also this will allow me to test an HP drive with the 3rd part drive caddys to see if they are working properly aswell

So as it stands now I am just waiting on the new drives to come in, when they get in I will see where things go and post again, also on a side not if anyone know a good busget 3 to 4 bay NAS, I could use one for the WD Reds I have lol

Alright so I got everything opened up and tested now

Here is the box on our dinning room table

This is what was in the box
    1. Server
    2. Rails
    3. 2x 750w PSUs
    4. 2x Power Supply cables

These are the 2 PSUs, they were packaged in the red and brown UPS envelopes

This is some sort of operations test that they performed I am assuming, either that or they use the same one on all of the servers lol. No real identifiers from what I was seeing

    This is the glorious inside

NAT type is controlled by your router. Since you have a Netgear router, login to your router, go to Advanced, WAN setup, and select the Open radial for NAT type. I would assume your router interface should be similar.

Hey everyone, I just recently upgraded my computer and when I did I got an MSi Z370 Gaming Carbon Pro AC. The motherboard worked at first but then I started having issues where Mystic Light was taking control of one of my dimms and would not allow me to do anytbing with it. Next I noticed that I was missing a drive, did some trouble shooting and Sata 1 is dead. So now I am going to send it back and get a refund for it. In the mean time I am going to order a new board. What I need help with is finding one that is compatible with all of my components. The main thing is I need to have no issues with my 32gb of Trident Z RGB ram and I would like a decent selection of IO on the rear aswell as RGB on the motherboard itself, the MSi had 7 USB ports on the rear and I'd like to stay around that amount. Also I want to get a good brand that will not have problems like my MSi did not that that was just an anomaly. So I have looked at the Aorus Gaming 7, and the Asus ROG Maximus X. Any other suggestions are welcome and input is greatly appreciated
