A lot of people in here are recommending Ubuntu because it's the most popular, however Ubuntu hasn't been the most popular for a few years, and personally I have a few issues with it. (snap, messing with gnome shell, for those in the know).
 
If you want to see some general statistics about Linux distro popularity I'd look at sites like distrowatch. MX Linux has been the most popular for a while now and if you're looking for something for beginners that's stable, looks pretty good, and is fairly lightweight I recommend it. If you're coming from windows it's also much more similar to windows than Ubuntu.
 
Personally I use Arch (😉) because it's the best for systems development IMO, but the installation process and desktop environment setup is a bit of a barrier to entry.

just a note Ubuntu is a branch off of Debian not the other way around. Debian's ancient/long-running and a big thing was Ubuntu being more new user friendly then base debian.

So follow these steps:
 
- Unplug your Alexa
- Open wireshark
- use this filter: bootp
- Plug in your Alexa
 
This will show DHCP request from everything on your network. If that is the only device connecting you can double check the mac address to make sure. So now that you have your IP
 
-use wireshark filter: ip.add == X.X.X.X
 
This will show only broadcast packets from your Alexa. Just note that you will not be able to see all the traffic with a basic setup. If you want to there are many more steps.

It is only logical to expect from Apple to literally build every single component for themselves sooner or later. Or at least design them.

Apple is facing legal actions from customers who are claiming that Apple intentionally misled customers with marketing and advertisement for the new Apple iPhone Xs devices in regards to hiding the notch from product photographs through the use of tricky wallpapers, as well as making false claims as to the true resolution of the phone.

This is an example of the Apple released images of the new iPhone devices used to advertise & market the device. The wallpaper used has an area of solid black colour on the screen surrounding the area of the notch, which essentially removed any visible signs of a notch being present and gave the illusion of a notch-less, full screen bezel-less, front panel phone.
 
In this promotional shot, the notch appears to have been photoshopped out of the image, as it is completely invisible...

 
In shots display on the website, the camera and speaker appears visible, however the cut out area of the notch is still masked by the wallpaper used.
 
 
However, it is worth noting that there are images displayed on the Apple website which do clearly show the notches.
 
 
What's everyone's thoughts on this? Do you believe Apple intentionally tried to hide the notch to mislead customers? If phone manufacturers love the notch so much, why do they try to hide it from customers rather than promote it as a feature? (Because everyone hates the notch)
 
I don't think the "The image didn't show a notch" would hold much water in court. Caveat Emptor (Buyer beware). While most images used in Apple's marketing and prominently featured on the Apple website attempt to conceal the notch, there are some images on the Apple website (if you scroll down further) which do clearly demonstrate the notch.
 
The screen resolution pixel count might have a basis, as it could be considered false advertising if they're claiming it has a full resolution count when it does not due to the notch, however I believe this would not be an issue specific to Apple, as a large number of devices made by other companies also feature a notch and may also have similar incorrect pixel counts/resolutions.
I really don't think this will go very far.

The motherboard is already grounded through many paths, having all the screws grounded isn't necessary.
This is probably for safety to avoid damaging traces or the PCB.
Sometimes people put screws in the wrong hole and it will short a trace by cutting into it.
This washer helps prevent that.

The basic steps to generate an image yourself is this - install windows on a machine (doesn't matter which one as long as it supports the version you wish to deploy). When you get to the OOBE (the setup process you mentioned), press shift+control+F3 to enter "Audit mode". This is a clean slate mode where you can install anything you want and it'll be available on the image when someone uses it.
 
Once done, run the Sysprep utility and generalise the image with the /generalize and /oobe parameters.
 
After that, capture the image using WinPE (dism), and then you can create custom deployment scripts in MDT depending on things like hardware, capabilities, versioning, etc. 
 
When the image is deployed, the user will be greeted with the OOBE after turning the machine on, and when they arrive at the desktop everything you installed will be ready and waiting. This applies to files as well as programs; anything you put in the start menu, any configuration changes made to policies, all of that gets migrated over. The only thing that is removed from the image during sysprep/generalize is hardware-specific information (so the image can be used on any machine).

I disagree, people are selling these on Ebay $800 -1000 with Gtx 960, I think that he could probably get ~$550 if he tries ~$450 if he wanted to sell it now.

Boards like that should be fairly cheap on the used market, pretty much any mATX LGA 1155 board will work.

Looks pretty similar to Intel's NUC machines, the Arduino compatibility is definitely a nice touch. Good to see more Ryzen based chips hitting the market.

I would go for a 16GB kit that's at a lower speed. 

I'm honestly confused by this product.  What does it really offer that you couldn't just throw on teh Android store and have accessible to phones, set top boxes and even some Smart TVs?  It doesn't even LOOK like an Atari, it just VAGUELY resembles one and has wood grain.  Nintendo's 'Mini' offerings fed well into nostalgia by offering what was a scaled down replica of their childhood game console where as this only vaguely invokes the styling.  It just kinda seems like a wood grain NUC.

My BIG issue is that it will be using a Bristol Ridge APU not a Raven Ridge APU and ship in Q1 2019. to me that is a HUGE let down.
Pricing starts at $200, for the onyx and its $29 for the classic joystick and $49 for the Modern Controller.
I love the fact that it will be linux based and be open for users to mess with if they so chose too.
