  1. You know what. You are probably right. As of yesterday. My motherboard is not rgb it’s solid light blue and when I turned my pc on to get the chipset installed the block was the same static light blue. Can I boot to bios with no coolant in the system? Is that what you mean? I will check with volt meter and again once I drain my system. Yeah just ordered a new riser should be here today. So it says. Lian Li might as well stick with bracket and brand I have for the evo chassis.
  2. I just install the vertical mount in April 23’. Just rebuilt now and now I have this “no signal issue.
  3. Okay so let me start by saying this is my second time flushing and refilling my custom loop. Same GPU block and CPU block as previous build. Only thing here is new coolant and bending new tubing. I will post before and after photos just in case. I can not get my GPU to pick up my monitor all of the sudden (or don’t seems that’s it’s the cullprit) the rgb on my block doesn’t come on and when that happens I’ll get no signal from dp to my monitor but I can hear the windows sound. I’d have to hard restart (holding down the power button) to around 3-4 different times and starting for it to finally turn on (I can tell by its RGB on) that I’ll get signal to finally see desktop. More times than not “no dp signal detected, going into standby mode”. I tried different DP ports on the GPU and different display port cables nothing worked this far. I also checked my riser cable and vertical mount connection and it’s in correctly and all very well connected as this isn’t my first time building a watercooled system. I have no idea of what to do now. Very frustrating and frustrated now. Working perfectly installing windows and everything else all last night. So if someone knows what is going on with it suddenly. This would be the place as people here know there stuff and have helped me in the past. My specs are in sig but here are the main basics. 7800X3D w/XC7 Asus TUF 4080 w/ ek vector2 2x16gb 32gb ram 6000mhz 1000w gold EVGA G3 PSU EK Cyrofuel Mystic Fog coolant Photos: Before & After. If you wanna see GPU after last night. I can as well. A close up.
  4. Same issue off an on (more often off) with mine but I have an OS installed.
  5. 10GB should be decent. As for me 8GB is becoming not enough for more modern games. I was experiencing this cause I couldn't get high settings the way I wanted with my 3070 Ti FTW3 on cyberpunk or RE4R so went with a 4080 last year and changed the game entirely. RT on 30 series is very good too. If it's your budget limit go for it. I'm on the same res with an OLED with HDR. However you can turn down and mix mid/high settings till you get what feels good to you. The thing I always say "if it plays games at the settings you want to play at. Does everything you ask/need it to do." That's how I determine upgrade time.
  6. It was a fresh install of windows and motherboard bios before that. Thought EXPO was doing the ram thing so turned everything back to default but still does it. We did check the cooler and still a very hot CPU. Yes, a very frustrating PC build. One that I have ever seen. Here are the specs: CPU: AMD R7 7700X GPU: AMD Red Devil 7900XTX (3.0 PCIE vertical mount) RAM: 32GB TForce 6000mhz PSU: Corsair 850W gold RmX Cooling solutions: Top Rad for CPU: Aquacomputer Airplex Modularity Rad Distro plate: Custom for the thermaltake view 51 chassis Coolant: Ek Cryofuel Acid Green
  7. Not system but my roommates. she has insane heat issues on cpu when loading a game (7700x) over 90c I seen 96-98c at times until actually starts playing. Her ram sometimes hits 80-90% just idling. The thing here though is somehow it will say committed almost 3/4 of it leaving about 8gb usable. Today this is happened to her monitor. Then system restarted itself no BSOD or anything but the motherboard (asrock x670E pro RS) showing cpu and ram light before restarting itself. Any help here would be very much appreciated.
  8. Ah, sounds easy enough. Thank you, I appreciate the help.
  9. 6600XT or non XT. However, depending on budget and what games you want to play as well as at what resolution.
  10. So I rebuilt my PC today after all afternoon bending new tubing runs. My coolant temps are the same still. How my idles temps and writing this my CPU temps are around 40-55c at times. Is this high? I don't remember seeing such high idle temps. However when I was on my ASUS board I ran the "PBO enchantment" & I think on 1 or 2 and I heard it actually boosts performance and lowers temps. That could be why I suppose. Is there any settings in the Asrock bios where I could get the same results and a little drop in temps or is this Asus specific only? Also both systems were using a kyrosheet and still am if this matters.
  11. I understand but as far aesthetics go I can't find any B650 steel legend except amazon. I just kinda wanna asrock now and stay away from asus. I bought originally a b650 strix I didn't build till I got all my parts (water cooling fittings, tubing, and blocks) in so over 30 day returns at MC and turns out DOA. So had to go through 2 months of getting an RMA then sent me a refurbished board. No thanks I paid for new and when with Asus TUF B650 since my X570 was so good until it broke itself after cleaning and dust busting my PC one day. So after RMA on this one I got a new in manufacturers box and only took about a week or so. Not bad so idk what happened to asus nowadays. Never used a gigabyte board before. First build was intel with EVGA. The X570 as I mentioned, now B650 asus TUF with broken ram slot lock since I picked it up. Onyl reason at the time was to match my GPU even though on water. TUF,
  12. Ah, I see. True, good looking out. Depending on board quality I can get a new one. If they don't' check and/or test then for sure.
  13. No just prefer X670. Always had a Z/X series boards. Also for the price of the steel legend from micro center is kind of a "steal". Really? Is there something I should look for on them. It's from micro center with a 90 day warranty. I just worry about Asus customer service it took me a near over a month to get an RMA on my last X570 that suddenly just died on me.
  14. I'm trying to decide between 2 motherboards for an open box Asrock X670E Steel Legend $169 or an ASUS TUF X670E Plus at $280. I like the 10 USB as I have 8 devices on the steel legend. I just want a good board I'll be redoing my custom loop soon so might as well grab a new "better" board meanwhile. X670E preferred. On the new boards I will be using a kyrosheet for my CPU with my XC7 if one of these boards will effect that. Any major upsides or features to choose one over the other? Appreciate any & all help on this.
  15. Just go with 70% if you can. Doesn't make much of a difference. I use a coffee filter and 70% isopropyl alcohol for both my waterblock and CPU. Works fine. I'm currently using thermal grizzly kyrosheet on a 7800X3D after going from a 3900X. Due to the little cut outs on the new 7000 Ryzen CPUs. Don't want thermal paste getting in there. Spread or not. Not a big deal but rather not deal with it. First time using it and temps are about the same never above 72c (max) in gaming then around 40c - 42c idle. On water though playing a factor of course.
