I didn't know where to make this thread, so I decided "Software" was the way to go and neither of the other's seemed right.
Basically, I've heard that a good rule is to add 1.5 times the RAM in your system(In total of course). However, windows recommends way less than this. I've got 8 GB RAM and windows recommends 1911 MB of virtual memory.This is kinda weird since for 4GB it suggests 1.5GB more, but doesn't increase a lot when moving to 8GB.
Is there any disadvantage to using more than the recommended virtual memory? Any sort of risk at all? And what'd you guys recommend?
