Wanted to revive this thread as the other one was pretty old-
Just bought a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro's 250 OHM and they have quite a pronounced bass rattle going on, linked a vid (can be heard @14secs in) down below which shows what I hear (Not my vid tho).
I checked online and found that this was a common issue with this specific brand but I had not seen anything of similarly note worthy in reviews for it.
I had a replacement pair ordered and they had the same problem.
I have not gotten round to buying an amp yet but could this be due to not having one?
I have tried using them with my phone as well but it wasn't powerful enough to reach the volume from where I could hear it.
If anyone has any recommendations on a different pair I should look into if I end up returning these please let me know. £200 budget can be a little flexible depending on how strong the brand is.
Need them primarily for gaming ( positional audio is a must) and content consumption ( I'm not an audiophile but would like something decent)
