  1. Thats a hard job searching... But i found a cool page which collects all kinds of monitors and compares them. https://www.144hzmonitors.com/gaming-monitor-list-120hz-144hz-165hz-200hz-240hz/ try dig in that that page allready has a list with specs.
  2. You are blessed with a nice matched cpu. Ok you are looking for an ips 4ms monitor 1440p on 144hz with gsync, these come around 800+ dollar. Im gonna make some tea and do some window shopping for you.
  3. What processor is paired with your 1080ti and how fast?
  4. First things first. Refit ur ram and ur gpu recheck after.
  5. Course you can! But it prob sucks....dont do it.
  6. What is your goal? I assume not 1080p on a 1080ti. So 1440p, 4k, how many fps and hz you want?
  7. Uhm thats not ips ....tn panels go 1ms in exchange for color corruption from angles. 4ms is like the max ms for serious gaming. And very good for an ips

  9. Or a lil higher clocked pentium ht chip
  10. Threadripper wont suck that many fps out of any card available to reach 144hz, which is impossible to play on 4k but you could on 1440p. But many games do cross 100-130 and thats fine on a 144hz panel. Since you go for a tr and wanna game on 144hz, why dont u buy a 8700k to pair with it It is Waaaaaaay stronger. To play 4k you are totally gpu bound and could use a way cheaper processor , not that you should but to reach 60fps in a 4k res you could use even a ryzen 1400... Im stuck in the same situation i wanna go for the 1080ti 144hz on a 1440p res. People ssy if u can buy a 1080ti u can easily buy a 400+ processor thats just bs. So im stuck near 7700k, 1700(oc)which is in my favor due of price cores and decent ipc tho has issues, 8600k witbout the 6 extra threads on a really expensive board, 1600oc to cheap out if needed but prob not. The lower threaded processors are allready maxing out, even the really really powerful 8600k has allready tiny hickups at high settings begging for more threads. However its a beast of a chip for todays market, allthough a bit late...
  11. Msi afterburner cant even oc that far its rather boring. For nvidia i rather use the nvidia inspector and watch the clock on both (msi afterburner) to see what the average clock is. After that you can just flash it to permanent clock if you like that.
  12. Try hook em up one by one on diff slots. Delete display drivers (not gfx) and restart windows.
  13. Ok lets start somewhere. Get hwmonitor and post your temps after stressing a lil (launch a game). Second, get your battery out and play wired for a couple days see what it does. Lets see what you got
  14. Lol where is it stated i dont see it awwwww all my effort though haha, glad its solved.
  15. Unplug everything inc psu....xept ur power/reset buttons. Reset cmos once again (battery out ofcourse). Now press and hold your power button for like 15 seconds. Also recheck all your jumpers if any. Refit everything inc your ram, fan etc . Try a start up after that, without any hardware like kb or mouse plugged or any usb slots filled.
  16. U have a 1440p 144hz and u wanna play on 60 fps min?!?!?! 1080ti ....more fps out of ur monitor.
  17. I would go in between with a 8400. And if not id pick 1600 over 1400 but on topic the 1400(oc) is a good pair allready. The 1600 will drag more fps out of ur card and the 8400 even more.
  18. Same sets is better than..... The lowest running ram will be favored by the machine.
  19. First of all u cantoc a 8700, second of all....what is your pc purpose. It might be worth it for reasons but it seems to me like a bad trade. If im not wrong the basic 8700 non (k) version comes with a heatsink and stock intel cooler (boxed)
  20. Disconnectand reconnect harddrive. Or in bios you need to set the first boot device to a OS holding HD. Next time u boot keep pressing f12 for a boot menu. If that doesnt work restart do the same with function key f10 and or f9. Screenshot or pic that menu.
