  1. I did the math and the pixel density is the same vertically as my current one and just slightly less horizontally compared to the ultrawide. Also, this is a 21.5" monitor.
  2. I guess another thing would be should I do an ultrawide? Here is my setup. Dimension wise, the one you linked would go 1 inch off each side and be the same height. PS: I added acoustic foam to the back and my headphones have a stand beneath the desk.
  3. I'm upgrading from a 60hz 1080p IPS to a new monitor but not sure what to get. My budget is around $200-250. I've been looking at 2 main panels: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BV1XBEI/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=pcce-20&linkId=2e9f45e78b3dc80c38019b64a2137bdf https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1YU-00GN-00005&cm_re=acer_1440p-_-1YU-00GN-00005-_-Product I have a GTX 1060 3gb and wondering if its worth it staying with 1080p and going to 144hz or upgrade to 1440p and then my frames will stay around 60fps. I've also been looking into ultrawides but don't think they are worth it. I mostly do casual gaming and don't care if it's TN or IPS. Thanks
  4. IMG_8679.TIF So I'm looking to expand my setup by adding another monitor and some additional items and don't know which option I should take. There's a couple things I want to add but want some other opinions. I have a turntable and receiver in my room and will purchase new speakers to go along with them. I also want to add to my desk and interested in kinda combining the two (turntable and current setup). My idea was purchase another desk that fits in the corner, build the receiver and turntable under it, connect the turntable to the new speakers and to the computer so I can put my vinyl on it, as well mount my current monitor to it and kinda make a rubiks cube solving station also. I have a special timer and cables just for connecting it. I hope that all makes sense and I'm just wondering if having two separate monitors will look ok in this setup or if I should just stick with the way it is. Thanks!
  5. The cheapest GTX 980 i can find is 400? and it is founders edition
  6. Ya I just found a lightly used 980 for $240 on Craigslist that I think i will get.
  7. If you have the money you should. Also, where did you find that 1060 for 190?
  8. Ya the 290x and cards like that are also good for mining. It seems like the only cards that are well stocked are 1050ti's and then 1070's and above
  9. Doesn't the 1060 3gb beat the 970 though
  10. Screw it. Scraping all the parts to make a new computer... lol
  11. Kinda laughing how I spend around $450 for my first build and with only like $200 more I can turn this into a high end pc
