  1. Damn , I regret a lot now. The monitor costed me a fortune. It was bought in May 2018 ?
  2. It's an Acer ED242QR Abidpx, looks like there is no screen replacement panel tho
  3. I smelt burn too! (jk) ye they work, guess I'll try to grab a replacement panel. Bad news is I am in Asia, it'll be tough to find this because this is a US monitor. I had to get an electrician to rewire the US plug
  4. Thanks, will take a look at it.
  5. U mean the LCD backlight etc.?
  6. Alright let’s be straightforward. Got some family issues, just raged(I’ll probably get a doc later on).Threw my phone on the book below the monitor, it bounces and hit it. Is there any way to fix it whatsoever?
  7. Update: Got the card today. Turns out DHL generates a new waybill, and I am have no clue they did so. At that day, DHL actually sends the parcel back to HK.
  8. Me too lolz, I don't see many new laptops that have M.2 + 2.5" Most of them are still either one M.2 or one 2.5"
  9. Thicker one have both? I still see most of the laptops have only a single 2.5"
  10. USB adapters do work, I am now booting from a USB3.0 but yeah, my option is M.2 or 2.5"
  11. No you can't afaik. I do have GP powerbanks, and their green lights are constantly lit as long as batteries are aligned properly.
  12. New laptop. I am using the Lenovo G50-80(kinda brotherhood of yours), and it is constantly running 2 cores 4 threads@2.62GHz. And, you can't overclock a U series CPU. With core bumps from Intel and AMD in recent years (Since Late 2017), you better off start with a new laptop and upgrade it. The i5-8250U for instance , is now 4 cores 8 threads @3.3-3.4GHz. This yield well over 100% compute performance increase. with your 1TB SSD, you can get a i5-8250U + GeForce MX150, then replace the HDD. You will feel the massive improvement. NOTE: as Princess has said, be aware of your RAM.
  13. I am planning to buy a WD Blue 500GB SSD. The problem is, I will study abroad soon and I may get a new laptop at that time. Most laptops either have only a 2.5" or a M.2 connector, and is 256GB in size, which leads me thinking, which form factor of this WD Blue should I buy so that it might fit the future laptop? I may not be able to get a new laptop actually, and the current laptop that I have is using 2.5". Or , should I just stick with the included drive if I can get a new laptop?
  14. Sent email to them but haven't get any responses.
  15. Obviously there is a problem XD, how the hell can a parcel transfers THROUGH my place and arrived elsewhere besides, DHL has facilities in Hong Kong Tried contacting both of them
  16. This is an update for this thread And today I just checked the package and it is doomed What is happening dudes... I am ordering to Hong Kong, and DHL transfers it to Beijing THROUGH Hong Kong...
  17. I just want to expose the bottom layer , then seal the entire die with some plastic to make it look like a treasure
  18. try this? https://www.howtogeek.com/134735/how-to-see-if-your-hard-drive-is-dying/
  19. I was too worried, looks like DHL US just send the shipping info to DHL Beijing , because Hong Kong is a part of China, and delivering the strix from US doesn't make sense. So Amazon just grab a strix from mainland factory(I think) and ship it from Beijing to DHL HK
  20. Contacted Amazon, they have helped me to check and confirmed that DHL will actually send it alright.
  21. Maybe this will help https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/221/~/difference-between-dvi-i-and-dvi-d
