  1. Hello, I've had a Sapphire Nitro RX 580 for a couple years now. Recently, the fan has started to show some weird behavior. Only one of the fans (the one closest to the outputs) begins to ramp up randomly, or even stays at 100%. MSI Afterburner doesn't detect this change in speed but Radeon Settings does. I'm thinking that this is a software problem but can not tell what is causing it. Here's what I've tried to do: Uninstall/Reinstall drivers (and chipset drivers too, I have an X570 board) with DDU. Update MoBo BIOS. Uninstall Afterburner. Set a custom fan curve with Radeon Settings. Uninstall Valorant's anit-cheat software. Use the second BIOS in the GPU (it has a BIOS switch). None of these things I've tried have worked yet and I'm really not sure about what to do with the card to make the fan work properly again. Any help would be much appreciated.
  2. So it's just more noticeable because of the whiny stock cooler then? I guess you'd then have to use a hardware solution but again, it's not that big of a deal at all.
  3. My CPU fan goes to 100% speed after I wake it up for a brief moment. It's not really that big of a deal but it is an intel stock cooler so the sound is pretty loud frequency and annoying. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this or is it just normal.
  4. That's definitely good. I'll probably buy that if I can't buy an IPS panel without that issue.
  5. Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my standard TN panel to something a little bit better. PCPP threw this one at me and it's honestly at a very attractive price but it has no reputable reviews anywhere. I've found that several users have reported issues with blue/orange colors displaying on a subpar quality at higher refresh rates just like in this thread ("pixelated", "blocky"...) So I was wondering if you guys knew of any monitors with these characteristics in the 150-200 dollars price range; obviously without the issues found in the prevously-linked thread.
  6. I'm waiting for the Sapphire Nitro 580 to go back to normal prices. I really like the card
  7. I've been closely watching Ethereum prices this week and, while the trend continues, the prices have gone significantly lower this morning, reaching a 24h low of 136.55 dollars. Expect to see more stock soon, as well as better priced ebay listings pretty soon as more people start getting rid of their rigs. You can also watch Ethereum prices in this website: https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/ethereum I can finally buy a fucking GPU Edit: RIP the dream
  8. I gave up on the 580 and so I thought fuck it, let's buy a 1060 but... supply and demand. I'm in a stock alerts group for the 580 and prices are firmly in the low 300 bucks which I believe to be very inflated for this GPU. Everywhere you search, there's only low end GPUs, super inflated midrange GPUs or highend GPUs. What do you guys recommend? Should I get a 580 as soon as it's available or "wait for vega" lol.
  9. That works, I should have the money within a month or two. Maybe I should get into this mining business too...
  10. Hello, I've noticed a market trend in the past few weeks. It seems that the price for these cards keep going up and up with no apparent cause. This is really frustrating because I was hoping to get one with working overtime but now I don't know if I should just get a 1060. Do you guys think I should wait for the market to change or should I go for another card?
  11. That actually sounds really good but I think the cost and inconvenience of changing the parts I already have is not worth it right now, I just want to finish this build lol. Maybe they'll be significantly cheaper when my wallet's fat again and I can do some upgrades. Maybe I should get an i3 then...
  12. So, you're saying that the Ryzen 5 1500X is better and cheaper than the i5 7500?
  13. Get a debit card my dude, it will be great in the long run. Never get a credit card by the way.
