    Also, clean the laptop. N550JK has a thermal limit on the CPU and GPU at one point - it could be overheating due to dust

    Avoid updating for now - some people have had much bigger issues with 364 drivers

    VIA should be able to do that. Open HD Vdeck, go to option (spanner icon), choose independent headphone.

    Oh, I already have the GPU, I'm waiting on the PC to come. 
    I was just wondering if it would have fit as I the GPU lying around and thought I may as well put it in.

    This is the VA panel which i use ironically with the same gpu and i also do editing, its a VA panel so its slightly worse then IPS but its not a massive problem.

    Then there is the dell monitor, its slightly over your budget, but it has one of the best colour pallets in the world.

    Those are my recommendations, my father uses the dell ultrasharp and i use the benq, no doubt the dell has a better picture but i prefer a bigger screen and honestly unless they are next to eachother you will not notice the difference.
