    You won't need any software.
What you will need though is:
-Floppy header on the motherboard for floppy drives
-IDE header on the motherboard for certain CD drives
-SCSI card with one of the 20 non-intercompatible interfaces:( for certain optical drives and accessories
-Molex power for all of those

Hey, I know its probably wrong but I just want to watch the behind the scenes of the April Fools Video which is available on floatplane so if I anyone can provide me that, that would be really awesome. I would subscribe on floatplane but I just want to watch that video and don't really wish to watch the other videos available, its one of those that's the best video I have ever watched on LTT.

Thanks a lot if anyone can help out

The only legitimate way to watch the Behind the Scenes Floatplane exclusives is to subscribe to Floatplane. Any other methods to obtain the video is piracy, which we do not condone or allow.

GOTSpectrum got a reaction from EzioWar in does mobo support a ram which isn't on it's qvl list?
True, I just meant that, if they have an up to date bios currently all DDR5 currently on the market should work.

But I suppose clarity is important in these things

The QVL exists more for system integrators than it does the public. It's a way of saying, if you buy X ram with this motherboard it will run at X speed 99% of the time...

It's not supposed to be an exhaustive list of every RAM kit out there. It's a buy this one and it will almost certainly work at the speed rated on the QVL, buying something else will 100% work, just sometimes you won't get the rated speed of the ram for whatever reason, but in the modern world it is rare that you can't get the rated speed unless it's a stupid high clock, like 5000mt/s on DDR4 for example

ALL DDR5 ram will work on your board, but the only guaranteed speed is JEDEC specs, but in practice it's much less of an issue these days than it was in the ddr3 era because the JEDEC specs are much better than back in the day

GOTSpectrum reacted to RONOTHAN## in does mobo support a ram which isn't on it's qvl list?
I do want to put an asterisk on that, since there are times that DDR5 will not work on a given board. The main example I can think of is the 24/48GB DIMMs from Corsair initially on AM5, since those would blue screen on boot up even at 3600 JEDEC for the first few months of their existence before AMD finally released an AGESA that fixed it.

In this case yes, it should work, since this memory kit is a Hynix bin that's very well supported from all board board vendors, and instances of that are fairly rare, but it's not something that you can say ALL memory kit work at all times, because that's just not true.

Definitely don't listen to me for legal advice! Get someone who knows what they're talking about. In quick Googling it looks like small claims court works a bit differently from higher ones so that may be the disconnect we have here.

Edit: given in small claims court each side pays own expenses, that may explain Asus' reported actions more.

So it may surprise people that the folding team leader is mining, or well in this case planning to mine. I like to make fermented foods and I have an outside cupboard that I use to make them, well much of the year it needs a 100w heater in there to keep the right temp,  I decided if I'm using that 100w anyway why not throw a miner in there.

I don't care about profit, but getting back some of the money spend on the electric to head it will be nice

So here's the thing, you go anywhere in the world and there is a group that is marginalised and hated.

My family had to flee south Africa because of the horrible racism against white people there.

How does this relate to Dbrand, well that's simple, a racist will use ANY justification for their actions. They are a big successful company "doing the racism" and to them that justifies the way they treat others who are different to them, no matter if they are white, or another colour.

There is no place in the world for direct hate, and Dbrand walks a fine line, and in my opinion often steps over that line

As an ethnic Indian, I have to say I am pissed at dbrand. A lot of people (especially Linus on Twitter) playing it down and comparing it nicknames or jokes have not walked a day in the lives of Indians who live in the western world (and I'm not even from India, they have it way worse). For some reason or another, racism against Indians is just seen as fine and funny (as Pewdiepie showed).

What's even more annoying are the creators in dbrand's pocket that were quiet during the furore and as soon as they said they gave him 10k, started posting jokes about how they want to be made fun of for 10k too. I specifically want to bring up this Jerryrigseverything tweet:

    in the replies:

Nick Light responds making a joke. Not that big of a deal. But again, this is a racism issue. I'd like LMG staff to take it more seriously. Zack tells someone (an Indian) that they should be happy for the person dbrand insulted because he received 10k. He should be happy he was racially abused. Let that sink in. Linus commented on Twitter that "unless he's [the person that was insulted] mad, I'm not mad". Well, he is mad. And called dbrand a racist company.
The fact that Linus continues to make excuses for dbrand and even say its not racist, comparing it to white nicknames and saying he has no way of knowing if the person is Indian is ridiculous. Sure, Linus. The guy called dbrand racist and tagged the Prime Minister of India just for fun lol (and yes, he did it before Linus' tweet).

What's even more annoying is Linus' wife is Singaporean. At no point did he think to ask her, "hey, do you think this is racist?" (Singapore is multi-ethnic and has a lot of Indians). Instead, he said "my sister-in-law has a white last name. Showing up after making reservations is fun lol." Aren't we trained during equality training to always check to make sure everyone feels comfortable and not feel discriminated in any way? Why is the white guy being the arbiter of racism?

So the lesson from all of this is that if you're a big company working with a creator, don't just sponsor a random video, be a channel sponsor and pay the big bucks. Creators will even back up your racism.

    Summary
Nearly 20 years after the debut of LiMux, the project where the city of Munich, as well as Lower Saxony, migrated the majority of their computer systems from Microsoft Windows to a custom Linux distribution before being cancelled in 2017, someone else is now ready to take on the challenge. This time, it's the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Citing the goals of independence, sustainability, and security, the state is planning on migrating its 30,000 computers to Linux and other open source software.
