GOTSpectrum got a reaction from MrFinn741 for a blog entry, Day Two - Time Will Tell
It is good to see many people picking up the pace in the event. I will be interested to see if anyone has a sudden jump in production or if it will be a slow increase.

I have to say that I have missed this feeling, watching the ranks, hoping I can edge out those around me while scraping for whatever hardware I can get my hands on to push as many points as possible. Don't forget to watch your temps and keep yourself hydrated.

Miker07 continues to sit relatively unchallenged on the throne with 66.50 million points, Ben_F wouldn't need to find all that much more power to topple the new potential king, he is sitting in second place with 52.30 million points. Trailing behind by around 7m points Justaphf remains in third position with 45.79 million points. If they would like to advance any further up the rankings they will either have to pony up a good chunk of hardware or hope that those before him lose some steam in the coming days and weeks. Mxyzptlk has only gone and pushed themselves a rank up, taking the fourth spot with 27.02 million points. It will be interesting to see if they can maintain that position or if Favebook, who has 26.28 million points in fifth, can close the gap and leapfrog back to his opening day place.

Starman57 remains in 6th place with 21.37 million points, the top five is slowly pulling away and if they are looking to take on those above them. vsteel in 7th isn't looking very safe, with 19.93 million point it wouldnt take much for Pezui to mount a challenge with his 19.51 million points. dmynerd78 who is in 9th place with 16.09 million points, should also be looking over their shoulder. The new gatekeeper Alex atkin UK has given the order 'more steam!' They leapfrogged LazyDev and has taken 10th place. An interesting note, Alex slightly outperformed dmy over the last 24 hours. It's certainly something for 9th place to keep an eye on next update.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, some participants are still finding their feet and gaining pace while others seem to be looking like they need to put more coal in the boilers. How are things looking overall right now, with only two days of data its impossible to even begin to predict how things will look when the guns fans fall silent and we once again stand truly as a unified team. One thing is certain, there is going to be trials to come. Who can take the heat, who will push their hardware and who with be victorious when the dust settles. Only time will tell.

Well here we are, folding month 2021 has kicked off and it's a smaller than average event. But nonetheless we will be doing our usual posts, validation and all of that juicy goodness.

It is always my pleasure to write the first post of the event, to see who has kicked into high gear from the out-set and who taking some time to pick up their speeds and get folding. Only time will tell where everyone will finish, and I generally don't take much notice of where people are sitting this early in the event. But it is still interesting to have an idea of who is pushing hard and who is meandering their way through the event.

In first place we have Miker07 with 34.04 million points, Certainly not a slough and it will be interesting if anyone can challenge this veteran. Second place is taken by Ben-F with 22.47 million points, and following very closing behind in third place we have Justaphf with 22.02 million points. It will be interesting too see if Justaphf can push a few more points and take that second place away from Ben. Favebook finds themselves in fourth place with 12.70 million points, trailing behind by only a million points we have Mxyzptlk sitting in fifth place with 11.76 million points. And that is the top five place on the close of the first day.

Starman57 is sitting in 6th place with 10.67 million points, it wouldn't take much more effort to push into the top 5, vsteel is in 7th place with 9.98 million, and within spitting distance 8th place is Pezui with 9.81 million points. 9th place is taken by dmynerd78 with 8.16 million points. LazyDev has found themselves as the gatekeeper of the top ten place with 7.85 million points.

So as you can see it is certainly exciting here at Folding month 2021, it is important to remember than these initial rankings will change, as this is a marathon not a sprint. As the event goes on and the ranks develop we will look into the lower ranks and point out anyone who is interesting. but for the time being I think I will leave it there.

I'm really impressed with the numbers we are seeing here, Thank you to all who are involved and who make this worth while every year.

This was a nice little event for us all to stretch our legs and keep ourselves warmed up for folding month this year. As many of you know I have been plagued with health issues. Due to the health conditions I have this will continue and slowly get worse. But I plan to keep pushing on with more events for as long as I can. Thank you to everyone who helps to make the events run smoothly and thank you to everyone who signs up for your understanding of my struggles.

This will certainly not be the longest awards ceremony as is the case with sprint events but I would like to thank those that volunteered to help with the event. With a special thanks to @marknd59 @cbigfoot and @leadeater who are event veterans at this point.

To claim prizes you need to drop me a PM within the next 7 days, with the subject line of, please can I have my prize.

Thank you to everyone who got involved during this event. It was great to be back even with my own struggles.

The next event will commence on the 1st of November, I look forward to seeing you all there.

I ended up rewriting this as morphine-brained spec didn't write a good post.

    Happy folding,
