  1. That would involve me removing my graphics card and a bunch of things on my desk.. I’ll try windows install a few times before I do that maybe luck will put it on the right drive thanks for the help!
  2. I recently rebuilt and re installed all drives windows etc for a “spring cleaning” and my fresh install of windows 11 pro has decided to install on my slowest HDD and not my 2TB 970 EVO Samsung drive installed in the best slot on the motherboard what is the best way to swap windows over to that drive and verify that I’m installing on that drive? i have 2 Samsung drives the one I’m looking to install on is Disk 3 currently on my system I don’t have much installed currently so if best case is to manually do it then same question retains what’s the best way to assure windows installs on the proper drive
  3. using for myself, not selling whats the best way to "re install windows"
  4. ive backed up all my important files OBS profiles, Photos, etc whats the best way to get rid of everything off all 4 of my drives, i have 2 Samsung 970 nvmes and 2 Seagate Barracuda HDD i knew of an app called DBAN but it seems to have changed from its free version. if anyone has any alternatives it would be greatly appreciated
  5. I have a decent system with the following specifications. Recently, I transitioned to using AMD components. The issue I'm encountering doesn't seem specific to AMD but rather a matter of timing. My PC consists of four drives: two Samsung 970 EVO 2TB SSDs and two WD HDDs, one 1TB and the other 2TB. I primarily utilize the SSDs for games, apps, Discord, Spotify, OBS, etc., while the HDDs store files such as memes, audio, and other content I access infrequently. I'm considering wiping my PC but wish to retain specific files and program settings, including OBS files (scenes, etc.), Elgato Stream Deck settings, photos, videos, and various audio files stored across multiple drives. I have a 1TB NVMe drive in a USB sled capable of holding all necessary data, facilitating the reset of my PC and subsequent reinstallation. I'm seeking advice on the optimal method to achieve this. Additionally, I've encountered issues when attempting to save to drives where I don't have administrative privileges, despite being the sole user of the PC without any other accounts. Is there some settings in Windows that may be conflicting for this that I should change before or after I wipe? I can go into more detail if someone would like, or I can make a separate post in a Windows 11 forum. Thanks for taking the time to read through my inquiry! Have a wonderful day!
  6. its an empty NVME and i tried with my windows installation media on a thumb drive with no luck
  7. no clue why 3 more posts spawned I went to add some photos and then this happened ???
  8. silly? very! but it was a good price and I can notice a difference between 360hz and 500hz or somewhere in the middle, its more about how smooth other objects like text and stills can look while moving past then a competitive edge in a game also do we know when those are going to be released? I'm selling a system and taking my 2080 super out so I wont have a card
  9. Budget (including currency): $700-$1000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant the finals overwatch sea of thieves 1080p *500HZ* Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): RYZEN 7 7800X3D 64 GIGS DDR4 6000 ASUS 1000W PSU *CURRENT GPU* 2080 SUPER hey guys I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to something a bit newer help push some more FPS on my games while keeping some detail in there I primarily play valorant but have been playing The finals as well. i aim for around 500Fps because I have the 500HZ Alienware I do have Gsync on the monitor and I've never had a Ryzen card but I'm willing to try whatever I have been looking at the 4070ti that microcenter has for $800 I know all the bad news and youtube titles haven't made it out to be the best
  10. sorry, i only have an NVME* didnt mean to write HDD will try though
  11. --- **System Configuration:** - **Motherboard:** ASUS Maximus X Hero WiFi - **CPU:** Intel Core i9-9900K - **RAM:** 32GB Ripjaw RAM - **PSU:** 850W - **Storage:** Crucial 2TB NVME - **Graphics Card:** ASUS 1080Ti --- **Build Overview:** I'm in the process of selling a new build to a friend. I've successfully test-built everything listed, except for the Crucial NVMe. Initially, I used a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO for testing, booted into the BIOS, unplugged, and allowed it to sit until I had a proper cooler. Upon changing the cooler and adding the new Crucial NVMe drive, I encountered error code A2 on my motherboard. --- **Troubleshooting Steps:** I've taken the following steps to address the issue: 1. Removed all unnecessary components for boot (GPU, fan headers, etc.). 2. Reinstalled the latest BIOS from ASUS. 3. Removed and replaced the CMOS battery. 4. Utilized the buttons on the rear for troubleshooting. --- **Additional Attempts:** - Tested the previously mentioned 970 EVO drive, but encountered the same error code. - Attempted different NVMe slots on the motherboard without success. --- Currently, despite multiple troubleshooting efforts, the issue persists. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm four potent edibles in while writing this, having exhausted my options and hoping for a helpful response. Thanks in advance!
