  1. Does it make sense that it idles at around 60/70 degrees too? I was guessing the crashes might be due to overheating or not proper contact since the coller didnt really get any hot
  2. Hello, I recently build a new PC with the following specs: Ryzen 7600X Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz 32 GB 2x16GB AMD Optimized DeepCool AK400 RTX 4070 MSI B650 GAMING PLUS Corsair HX750 (transplanted from previous pc) The problem I am having is that the moment I stress the CPU with something like Cinebench, the temepratures of the CPU spike over 95 degrees and throttles and sometimes crashes. I have checked and reinstalled the cooler more than twice checking that the thermal paste is correctly applied(see attached files) so I am at a loss here. I have also tried touching the cooler while the CPU is that hot but is room temp and all the fans work properly. Can someone help me locate the issue? Could it be the processor/motherboard, or the cooler is faulty? Thanks in advance
  3. Ok thanks for the fast reply. Do you know then why so many of them have more than one 8-pin? considering it is not useful as you say, seems like an extra cost isn't making any difference to the end user
  4. Budget (including currency): 1500€ Country: Spain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General gaming and programming with machine learning Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi, I have been planning an upgrade from my current pc and I landed at this: https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/D788Da215 (Spanish website). Some components are missing because I am planning on reusing some parts of my current pc such as a drive and the PSU. The problem I have is that my PSU is a HX750 from Corsair and it has only one CPU connector, and all the decent motherboards I am finding have more than one cpu connector required such as the one listed and I am wondering whether I am going to need to update my psu as well. Does the 7600X even need more then one connector? If someone can help me find one, i am looking for it to have at least 2 M.2 slots, usb headers to connect usb ports for a Fractal North case (2 usb 3.1 and 1 3.2) as the other one is a placeholder as I am buying it off of amazon and if possible, wi-fi connectivity.
  5. The PSU is a thermaltake tr2 s 650W. The Corsair showed some booting problems but when it finally failed it was with the pc on desktop idling it suddenly crashed and showed a message form the BIOS that it needed a drive with an OS for the boot as it no longer detected it. The Samsung one it just says on boot at the windows loading screen that my hard drive requires to fix some error and that if i press a key I can cancel the process but wheter I let it go through te fix or not, the next boot shows the same message so it is probably failing to fix it. Luckily, this drive is still in warranty but I want to know if the problem is being caused by something else so it won't happen to me again.
  6. Hello, for the last week I've been receiving a message on the windows loading screen about Windows wanting to repair my hard drive. I've let it do it for more than once but hte message keeps popping up every time I boot my pc. I've discussed this with a person in the Microsoft forum and thay indicated me that probably my drive is failing and now I'm wondering wheter the drive failing is because the drive was really faulty. Let me explain: When I first built my pc I built it with one hard drive and a Corsair LE Force smth 120 gb SATA ssd and just two years later (one month after the warranty expired :P) the drive failed. I had problems with it more than once as it sometimes failed to boot (and also showed me the repair thingy at least once) or get detected by the motherboard but that time it died. After it I thought it was the drive I chose that was crap so I went for a Samsung 970 EVO Plus m.2 just to make sure it was good quality (i bought the other one because it was one of the cheapest available) but NOW this one is appearing to start to fail. So now I'm thinking this could be a problem with power delivery of the motherboard or some sort but it would really strange as they use 2 completely different interfaces and the power delivery of the ssd is done by the power supply so, can anyone give me some insight on what could be really happening? I mean, maybe is that I am really unlucky with this 2 drives as my HDD works perfectly but looks weird to me. Anyways, thank you for taking time in reading and helping me
  7. I just got my first mechanical keyboard on Black Friday sales. It is a Newskill Hanshi Spectrum with brown khail switches. I watched reviews and a lot of people said it was pretty good. The thing is now that I got it, when I tyoe I can clearly hear the springs go up and resonate after each key and sometimes even by tapping the keyboard. It's not annoying but I was wondering if it's normal or if it is a defect that I should try to return and get a new one. Thanks in advance.
  8. I've tried reinstalling again and with the standard version but nope
  9. Lately I've been having somme freezing issues with my 1060 6gb so I reinstalled the drivers but now the nvidia control panel doesn't show up at all. Not even in control panel To reinstall the drivers I used DDU and then installed the latest dch drivers OK Nevermind. Suddenly a notification has appeared that the nvidia control panel has been instaled for some reason so problem solved. Ty for all the help
  10. I recently got my Windows reinstalled and now sound doesn`t work as long as it is not connected through bluetooth. If I connect my headphones through the 3.5 mm jack they wont work but if for example I connect my airpods they work perfectly. My laptop is an MSi gs63.
  11. I ended up getting a hp pavilion 15 ck014ns as it had pretty good balance of performance and portability and in case I needed to do some heavy worlkload, surely I could do it from home with the family desktop. Thank you all for all the help.
  12. Muchas gracias pero necesita ssd para abrir las cosas más rápido. Si no encuentro otro le cambio el disco yo luego.
  13. I'm not sure of the name in English but is like computer engineering but more focused on computer nets, telecommunications and that stuff. I'm looking for a laptop that I can carry around with other books so I think around 2kg. Budget below 1000$ and I live in Spain
  14. It says at least 14 to have some space on the screen but 15 is pretty ok for sure. On teh budget I would say for below 1000$ for sure and weight around 2kg as I have to carry it to university with some other books.
  15. I'm going to university next year and they are asking me to get a laptop with certain specs and I am having a bit of trouble finding the right model so I was wondering if someone could help me find someone. The recommended specs are "at least": -Intel i5 or i7 from 7th generation or later -8gb RAM -2gb of VRAM -256gb ssd -horizontal resolution 1280p and 14" -4 cell battery with 4 hour autonomy (Of course it has to run on Windows) Thank you for the help
  16. I just checked voltage on BIOS and it says that the VCore is on 1.272V
  17. VID gets to 1.550V and CPU VDD (Node 0) to 1.519V after 2 cinebench benchmarks
  18. Any advice on how to lower voltage? I tried it but even the slightest reduce would make the pc crash instantly.
  19. I know base is 3.6 but from instalattion it has been running at 3699mhz not being able to make it go to 3.6 unless i sownclock manually. I'm not really worried about it but I would like to make my pc a little quieter that is always good
  20. Some time ago, I tried some overclcoking on my ryzen 1600x and I failed as it was my first time so I reset BIOS. Now, the cpu always stays at 3.7Ghz and never downclocks unless I launch apps like gaming app that has a proprietary silent mode that downclocks frequencies when posible. I already checked the cool n quiet mode of my MSI MB and it said enabled so I don't really know what to do. MB : MSI Gaming Plus x370
  21. MSI Gaming Plus x370 https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X370-GAMING-PLUS.html Bios is updated
  22. I've just tried tweaking my CPU voltage as I saw that sometimes at idle the voltage just would go to 1.5 V for a moment so I tried turning it down to 1.27 as when its without any load usually stays at 1.25 but every time I boot again the PC, Windows crashes. Is it that the stock voltage is made to vary like that and it's the lowest I can set? The Core Voltage at default is 1.2880V as show in the BIOS Couls someone give me some advice on how could I modify any value in order to get better performance/temps?
