  3. Glad you got an answer, respecting someones opinion goes a long way whether or not it suits you. If it's plain stupid then sure, otherwise put up and shut up.
  4. "will this cpu hold up" No it will not, for one game is setting yourself up for failure, it will run like ass in almost any AAA game of today.
  5. It is trash in 2017, based on a crappy low IPC architecture that is under the old Phenom II's in terms of performance.
  6. So a 260X was doing 45FP Son ultra, and your 980Ti only 60? Where is the dealer for the crack you and the OP smokes?
  7. Not what i would call an upgrade though from an R9 270. Even 1050Ti will get bottlenecked it's a GTX 680/770 level performance card.
  8. He needs abetter CPU to use a GPU like a 570 or 580.. no getting around that.
  9. Just upgrade your platform to Ryzen then save for a GPU.
  10. It was BS with x58, it's still BS with all systems today, single vs dual channel is minimally going to impact performance to a degree you will NEVER notice. http://www.overclock.net/t/681697/the-truth-about-i7-1366-memory-both-dual-channel-vs-tri-channel
  11. Just over 800 mm square sized die, not sure on transistor count but expect it to be almost 2x more than Pascal, it will rape and pillage Pascal even trickled down from TESLA or Quadro, i would put my money on this being the difference between 90nm 8800GTX vs the predecessor with the introduction of TESLA.
  12. 4.1ghz on the non X version, can you not go any higher?
  13. Oh umm GEE my Crossfire 580's beat a 1060, ohh umm gee more coaaares and easy OC. So much dumbness in 1 fucking thread. 1060 is just under a 580.
  14. VOLTA is huge. I estimate the 1170 will be at 1080Ti level.
  15. Neither will OC more than 500hz so expect it to be a bad gaming chip.
