  1. Small update: Bought the Fidelios, bumped the bass in EqualizerAPO and it's exactly what I wanted without any distortion. Thanks to everyone on their input!
  2. Hello, after 3 failed attempts at finally switching to proper headphones from my Steelseries Siberia V2's I hope that i can gather some advice here. I am looking for new headphones that are more bass-oriented than your typical Beyerdynamic's. I've tried the 770's, 990's and Custom One Pro's. I instantly felt an issue with the high's (at louder volumes) and way too subtle bass. After hours of research I've concluded on the HD650's or the X2's. Mostly listening to house/electronic/drumandbass/rap and sometimes rock i really need a pair of headphones that give me that punch in terms of bass. I got a good deal on a Shiit Magni 3 & Modi 3 so I already got that. Which of those 2 headphones would propably fit my needs more? If anyone got better recommendations that meet the criteria + velours earcups (max price of 350€), i'd be happy to hear those too! Thanks in advance!
  3. I just bought a Ryzen 3 2200G for a new second system. Still have the old stock Wraith Spire laying around from my old Ryzen 7 1700 build. The Ryzen 1700 cooler should be higher but also fit on the new chip? Is that correct? Thanks for the help in advance!
  4. Hello everyone, I'd like to build a NAS server to stream 4k h264/265 from and to put some files on top. I want the server to be able to simply stream 4k over LAN but also be sorta future proof. What cpu/motherboard would you guys recommend for that? Is it possible to go with Ryzen for this case? Maybe the server could also serve with CPU power to render videos maybe? I suppose that would require a more decent cpu tho. I've read of different softwares for raids as well, is there any way to say one is better than the other? Also what is the advantage/disadvantage of a hardware VS software raid. I've never done any NAS build before so any recommendations are welcome. Thanks for any help in advance. I know that this may sound like I haven't researched anything yet but I just wanna get some suggestions going.
  5. So just a little note after buying and running everything for some time. Went with the following parts: Ryzen 7 1700 (overclocked to 3,8GHz) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 16GB (2x8GB) Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming K5 Samsung Evo 960 250GB M.2 (did this one since the Kingston V300 I had is junk) Price paid overall was around 700€ Works like a charm and feels like a real improvement to before. Thanks to everyone for the guidance!
  6. Sounds nice. Will think about the Ryzen option which is around 50-80€ more for everything. If anyone has other inputs I'd greatly appreciate that.
  7. Will that even be possible with my Noctua NHC12P SE14 or will I need a better water cooled setup (cpu only)?
  8. Not knowing Intel too well I really can't make up that comparison in my head^^ Looking at the suggestions here it seems like Ryzen is the way to go for my needs tho.
  9. Thank you for your input. I'm really liking Plan A here. Are there potentially cheaper mainboards available? I really don't need any RGB stuff, not looking for any Crossfire/SLI compatibility either. Good thing would be a bigger amount of usb ports since I am running multiple 3D printers. Looking at mainboards myself I never really know what potential thing I could be missing when picking one, hence my question. Thank you very much.
  10. Hello there, I am looking for suggestions and help on deciding on upgrade parts for my current pc. I want to switch over to Intel so I know that for now I'll have to replace the motherboard, ram and cpu. My main priorities are editing and a decent gaming compatibility. I'm only running 2x 1080p monitors (even only 60Hz ones). My current rig specs like this: AMD Phenom II x6 1045T 2,7GHz G.Skill DDR3 1600Mhz 8GB (2x4GB) AsRock N68C-S UCC AMD R9 380 8GB Strix XFX 750W PSU Kingston 250GB SSD V300 Older Noctua CPU fan (works pretty good tho) I'm looking for a a little more future proof pc on a budget around 600€, the components I want to upgrade are stated above (mainboard, ram, cpu). After doing a bit of research on my own I picked these parts. CPU: - i5 7600(K or non-K?) - i5 6600(K or non-K?) Mainboard: - MSI Z270 Gaming M3 - Is this a solid choice or already too much for my priorities? Ram: (I wanna upgrade to atleast 16GB) - Any 2x8GB sticks that fit into the budget? Located in Europe/Germany. I really hope you guys here can help me out with some advice since I've never owned any Intel system and am not sure if this would be a decent setup. The main reason to upgrade is to update my pc a bit and I want more solid performance while editing/gaming. Thanks for your time reading this already
