  1. DON'T OPEN THE LINKS IN THE CODE SECTION For (insert unrelated reasons), I logged into an old / deprecated wordpress site of the business I work for that was abandoned years ago but never went offline and I found revisions dating a few months back done by an user with administrative priviledges which is completely unrelated to our business and is none of us. I have no idea how they got the credentials and created a new admin from nowhere. They apparently modified a couple pages (out of hundreds) with links or JS scripts... that are harmless? They are injecting CSS to make the links unreachable by human means.   2. Which is still a brute force attack, duh I guess. You can guess a character from the alphabet or exploit hash functions, it's still brute force which is just a method name. What is even your problem?
  3. Brute forcing is not an effective method and will gradually became less and less common for general purpose as it requires an unlimited number of tries, which most services do not provide anymore. It is worthless to be able to guess thousands of combinations per second if the host allows a few tries before locking. And, you already need access to the host + user other credentials to start brute forcing the password. The real problem are service providers who do not implement 2FA, limited tries and other methods of prevention which however are getting rarer by the day.
  4. Watt / Volt = Amp 300W / 220V = 1.36A As a rule of thumb if you need it, 1mmq of copper wire is ok for up to 8A-220V for short distances.
  5. It's hard to fail harder than Bethesda did by themself, so future is looking brighter now. This might be a game changer for the NEXT generation of consoles, considering Bethesda's roadmap (2022+ for Starfield and ??? for TES6) but won't really change much for this one.
  6. If you can wait a little longer (couple of months), wait and stock some money up for the new releases from both Nvidia and AMD. If not, depending on your budget you might try the used market or an amd 5700.
  7. It's very likely that the internet chip on your mobo is defective at this point so you did well to RMA it meanwhile
  8. Depends on the tape. It shouldn't really matter here, but the average black electrical tape does not prevent static. There are Anti-Static/ESD control tapes for this purpose specifically but honestly I don't think that's needed for your usecase. You might be better off painting the PSU black where you want.
  9. RX580 is "a safer bet" for long term usage due to the VRAM. However it's already a pretty old card at this point, so another 5 years seems pretty unlikely.. but depends on which games you're planning to play. I'd wait till Q3/Q4 this year for the new lineup from both AMD and Nvidia before deciding if you can afford the wait.
  10. As far as speed goes, a 500MB+ SATA SSD is already more than enough for the average user and general use case, even for gaming. A PRO from Samsung will last a literal eternity in endurance. If you want fast file transfer, you might want a 1-2GB/s NVMe drive, like the 660p which is pretty cheap already. If you're going for the best, stick to Samsung Pro lineup but they cost a lot. For games, other than being a SSD nothing else matters right now.
  11. You might have damaged some fins but maybe not even that, considering where the screws are positioned. As Uptivuptiz already suggested, test it for a leak. If it doesn't (and it's unlikely) then you're good to go. Even if you screwed over a few fins, it won't be a big deal in terms of performance.
  12. At this Point you need to do the same test with a different PC. If the issues persist, it's probably a bad config on the DHCP of the router. If it resolves, then the problem is on the lan chip of the mobo (you can try update the BIOS but that's pretty much it).
  13. Keyboards are very subjective. I really like the new keyboard on the new Dell XPS 15", but I don't think it's the same for the other models. Go for the backlit one if there is, otherwise they are generally the same. One other thing you might want to check is the thickness of the chassis and the cooling, some models might be equipped with a worse cooler and run very hot compared to others, but this needs a model-specific search for each option.
  14. You can try to activate MCE if you motherboard supports it to "kinda slightly auto-overclock it", this might net you some small performance improvements. Without this and any other options enabled, your CPU should temporarily reach 4Ghz on one core and A MAXIMUM of 3.8Ghz on 6 cores. If you NEVER go past 2.8Ghz in any case or on any core, than something is not working right.
  15. The i5-8400 cannot be overclocked. The turbo-boost 4Ghz is for one single core only and for a short period of time, set by Intel and maybe slightly extended by some motherboards, but it's not related to the CPU temperature. Only Ryzen autoscale with temperature differences.
