  1. Hey you where thinking about a Review system where only trusted rewiever could post. I would suggest a different route. Make it so that everyone with a Account can Post reviews. Then enable either the staff or community or everybody vote on if a Review is help full neutral or harmful. Now you can add a Filter on the Website to only include reviews from users with a certain standing or higher for the rating. And make the Standart Filter resonable high. That way new rewiewer can enter the frai and even their first Review is going to have weight as soon as they got prpven themselves. And they can prove themselves from the Start on. Also if a product doesn't have ratings from proven reviewers, visitors could lower the filter to maybe still find a Review.
  2. Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I recently heard Linus talking about a 4th way to respond to messages, and it reminded me of a long-standing wish I've had. I think it would be fantastic to have a website, forum post, or some other platform where all the merch messages are consolidated, complete with timestamps for when they were answered. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to implement – perhaps by starting a timer when going live. While I appreciate the current approach to answering merch messages, I find it has some drawbacks. I've sent several messages myself and often end up skimming through the show a second time to find when my message was addressed. Listening and reading simultaneously can be quite challenging. An even better solution, in my opinion, would be if you could also tag me in Floatplane and YouTube chat when my message is being answered, allowing me to catch it live. What do you all think?
  3. It isn't really about fixing it. I have no problem to have payed results coming up first. Aslong as they are relevant. I mean just search on Google for 15v to 5v dc to dc converter. In Products you get different Converter with wrong Volttages, or variable voltages. And the Search Results give mit 15v stup up converter (So from 5v to15V) Again Variable Converters. And so on.There is no advantage for Google in doing so, It is just that they have no clue what i am really looking for.
  4. Hey LTT peeps, I don't know about you all, but I'm kinda angry the whole AI chatbot search situation. It seems like Google and Microsoft are pouring all their resources into making AI buddies who can answer questions for us when, in my opinion, they should be doubling down on their search engines. Am I the only one who feels like search engines are still pretty hit or miss? Sometimes, I'll type in a search query and I'll still get a whole bunch of irrelevant results just because a few keywords matched. I mean, c'mon, we're in 2023! Wouldn't it be amazing if Google (or Bing, for that matter) could actually understand what we're looking for when we type in a search prompt? Imagine if the search engine could read websites and only give us the results that are super relevant to our query. That's the dream, right? Not only would this be awesome for users like us, but it could actually be a huge win for Microsoft and Google, advertisers, and websites. By providing a better search experience, they'd keep users coming back, which in turn means more eyeballs on their ads. That's a win-win situation if I've ever seen one. Plus, with more relevant search results, businesses who advertise on their platforms would see better conversions, making them even more likely to continue investing in ads. Now, let's talk about the current way Bing works. It searches the web and only gives you an answer, without showing ads on its results page. This has some negative implications. Websites face problems because AIs are reading their content, using up traffic, and using the knowledge on the site, but there's no actual human traffic. That means nobody is seeing their ads or interacting with the website in any meaningful way. By focusing on improving search engines, Microsoft and Google could address these issues, leading to a healthier internet ecosystem overall. It's a win-win-win! So yeah, my point is that I think Microsoft and Google need to go back to their roots and focus on making their search engines truly great. Chatbots are cool and all, but they won't make our lives much easier if we still have to wade through a sea of irrelevant search results to find what we're looking for. Plus, it's a smart business move that benefits everyone involved! What do you guys think? Are you happy with the current state of search engines, or are you with me in wishing for some serious improvements? Let's get a discussion going! Cheers!
  5. That is a great idea. I guess it would just bend though, But it should be less prone to that if you have it like a Triangle. To it can support it self. The Triangle would need to be oben offcoulse to fit through the openings, but with a groove in the end that should still hold pretty well.
  6. The New Pull you showed on the WAN Show are awesome. Why don't you make it so they are replacable without bending the zipper itself. Like have a lash at the end bottom of the pull that can open up and hock back in again. If you fear about liablity, you could even advise users that they should cut the old pull off, instead of bending the zipper.
  7. I know. But he soike about it in a Video, and tones of people said there is none. So he startet to those in the comments. becaus he got a bit frustrated. NvM you can see it in the 20 January WAN show.
  8. Hey, I wanted to hear your opinion about this. So I think that when most people hear ChatGPT integration in BING and AI in Google and so forth, their mind goes to think that the main thing it could improve is the interaction with the consumer. So how the Engine understands your prompt and even more how it presents you the results. I think that this isn't the biggest advantages it could bring though. In the recent WAN Show Luke brought something up an my mind made click. He was speaking about how he would like to answer to all those comments that told him he is dumb because there is no RTX6000 and that need to not do that. Well that could be the great advantage of CGPT. To better understand the sources your are searching. Chat GPT should be able to Give you all comments where people state that there is no RTX6000 easily. Because it understands the meaning of a Comment. The same could go for search engines. If CGPT would ingest websites first as a dataset. It could actually find Relevant information about the Search you are placing. I was searching about if you can do a glass replacement for a wacom one 13 tablet. And got search results about all kind of Wacom Tablets because some hat one or 13 somewhere else in the text and google couldn't differentiate because it doesn't understood the source Website. What do you think about this? Have you heard that before and if where? Or am I wrong?
  9. Hey I am trying to look into Home Assistant and Automation at the moment. And have to say the decission between Z-Wave and Zigbee is a hard one. With you having problems with you Z-Wave devices, Couldn't you do a Video about the pros and cons of both protocolls?
  10. The thing is there isn't really anything that could leak behind the Password. And it changes. The password is a 15 Random character with numbers case sensitive and Special Character on top. There is just no way I remember that in a Month. And having it in a Note or on a piece of Papier is even worse IMO. So yeah it is it worth for me. Will look into an Arduino then. Unless somebody can link me one of those Cyberhacking devices i know that exist but I couldn't find anywhere. Oh and does anybody have a link where i can figure out how to do that with an Arduino?
  11. Hey, I have a question. I work as a Service Technician. And need to Log on always changing Computers witch a very complex monthly changing password once. Is there something like a USB Stick or USB Mini Keyboard. Which i can just plugin press a button and it fills the password for me? And which works without the need to install a Software on the PC I want to login first ?
  12. Yes. I even tried USB 2 and 3 Ports to make sure that it is a different HUB aswell
  13. Hi, I need some Help. I have a EOS D650 and D550 Camera. When I connect either of them to my PC they keep disconnecting and reconnecting. About one to two times a second. It when I connect the cameras to my Girlfriends PC they work just fine though. So I am reasonable sure it is something on my PC. It did work 3 Months ago though, even on mine. Does anybody has any Tipp except uninstalling it in the Device Manager (allready did that) or where I can find a Log on why it is disconnecting? WIN 10 64bit Thomas Samueras
  14. Okay, I have no clue so I gonna take it to the hivemind here. I am using Corsair Virtuoso Headsets wireless. And Normal speaker on the Motherboard otherwise. When I turn on my Headset the sound automaticly changes to the headset, but. After about 2 seconds it cuts out for a second or so. On some Programms like Discord or Final Fantasy 14 the sound doesn't come back at all. I can turn it back by restarting or switching the sound devices arround one time in the programm itself. I have that problem for about 2 month now, It did work without a hitch before that. And i don't know what changed. Does anybody have a Idea?
