  1. why do you need to change the boot order to boot from BIOS? dont you get the option to choose the boot device when you press F12 during start up? keep the boot order to ssd first. plug in the usb when starting up, press F12 and boot from the usb then go through the windows set up process and when it restarts, it should boot from ssd
  2. i dont think you can upgrade the leaked build to official build even if you get the tpm module. either you install windows 10 and wait for the tpm module or you create an iso using uup dump and clean install windows 11. when you get the tpm module, you can sign up to the dev channel of insider programme.
  3. Get the MSI GE76 This is the fastest gaming laptop in the market if you get it with a RTX 3080 The NEW MSI GE76 - The Fastest - YouTube
  4. shaves the corners off what?
  5. did you upgrade your windows 10 to windows 11 or did you do a clean install? if you upgraded to windows 11, you can try rolling back the upgrade to windows 10 and then upgrading to the official insider build. I think the official insider builds will allow you to upgrade to newer builds but I'm not sure. Just install an official insider build and check if you can upgrade to a newer build when it is released.
  6. whose laptop is it? yours or your grandmas? why are you messing with your grandmas laptop? get you own fucking laptop. dont fuck with other peoples data. if your grandma told you not to mess with with it, dont mess with it.
  7. When your friend first enabled fTPM, his harddrive was auto encrypted and a bitlocker key was generated which was used to unlock your harddrive. Now when a firmware is upgraded, this stored key is wiped. Now there is no key to unlock his harddrive. That is why there was a warning to back up the key before firmware upgraded. Nothing can be done now except to wipe the harddrive and re install windows.
  8. when did this happen? why does screenshot say 03/04/2021?
  9. Reset your network and see if it fixes it Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset. It will remove any saved ip configuration and wifi passwords. Be sure to remember them.
  10. are you connecting via wifi or ethernet port? do you have a ssd or mechanical hard drive? what software are you using to download?
  11. Mint xfce. or any other xfce distro. very thin task bar. very light on resource. very easy to use.
  12. Reset your network and see if it fixes it Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
  13. Ok can you check System Information check if the 2nd hard disk shows up there. Open System information>Components>Storage>Disks
  14. First we need to check if it is a problem with disk management or not. Windows disk management is pretty outdated and cannot read some disk formats. Download a different disk management software like https://www.aomeitech.com/aomei-partition-assistant.html Or https://www.easeus.com/download/epmf-download.html And see if the hard drive shows up or not. If it shows up just format it to NTFS format and it will show up in Windows.
  15. I have hearing loss in one ear and to compenstate I change the left/right volume balance in Windows to compensate. I have to set one of the channels to 100 and the other to around 50 to get balanced sound. Also all the headphones eventually get bad and one side ends up with lower volume than the other. (I never listen at full volume. I am not that deaf . But some videos are specially quiet and I raise the volume in those videos and then I feel max volume feels low). But this really lowers the overall volume of the headphones. So I am wondering if I get an headphone amplifier, it will have enough volume so that even after changing the balance, the volume is high enough when I need it. I was looking for a cheap headphone amplifier and the top choice on Amazon is the FiiO e10K. Will that have extra volume, more than my laptop? (it has a old realtek soundcard). I use some sony and Sennheiser $30 IEMs. Nothing special. Very low impedance. And I have no plans of changing them. I just checked and both have 16 ohm impedance and one has 110dB sensitivity and the other has 121dB sensitivity
  16. check the task manager and see if any process is taking up a lot of resources when the explorer.exe is frozen
  17. i had crank up the lighting, exposure and other settings to brighten a very dark scene of a lossy compressed video, so it has already lost a lot of quality. i dont want to make it any worse.
  18. ok i have the dialog open, but it I have to put in the presets and select transparency and diffusion and colors etc. that means photoshop is changing the original frames. i was hoping for something that does not touch the original frames. just deletes the frames and saves the remaining frames as is. is that possible? i really dont want to change anything with the frames as the original scene was very dark and i had to do a lot of trial and error to make it somewhat decent in premiere. its already all blocky and messed up. i dont want to make it any worse. i want to preserve it.
  19. i have deleted the frames. now how do i save it without re encoding it?
  20. i think its just windows 10 with a different taskbar and a few ui tweaks. it wont be a major change from the current version of windows 10
  21. its 130mb. i already rendered it out on premiere. thats how i got the gif. but i cant get the exact length. i want finer control on the length, hence i want to trim by frame, not by time as is the case in premiere. even going frame by frame doesnt work. i am either getting a 70 frame gif or a 90 frame gif. nothing in between. also it takes too much time on premiere. so i got the gif in the 90 frame and want to just trim the last the 10 frames.
  22. g15 is not a workstation. it is a gaming laptop. you can get a Lenovo thinkpad P17 or Dell Precision laptop or HP zbook. these are workstation laptops. you can configure them to be in your budget.
