i asked because i got static today with a silicon mat on it size of a mouse pad i picked it up got all the that sweet static doing its fireworks sound. hope they make it v2 of the desk pad anti static.

is LTT desk pad anti static ?

just try your best to get most recent parts keeping future proofing in mind like getting i7 processor for example or getting minimum 16 GB ram and for your power supply get at least 1000 watts gold rated is good no need to go higher from sea-sonic and forget about it. for graphics get the 3080 or 3070ti i mean to say high end but whichever is comfortably in your budget. i was feeling the same when i built my first PC back in 2010 and i did not have much resources, nowadays its easy to get help from online sites like this one and redit is also useful. what i did which ever part i choose to buy i search it on YouTube and check reviews from your subscribed channels. go easy on spending first time because when you get into stuff you gain knowledge overtime and then you can update your existing setup with more parts you feel like will better your experience for example display, fans, cpu cooler . so just go for it even if you make mistake you are learning from them.

right now i use only two hard drives with wires and rest is sd cards from camera and usb flash drives

i use flash drives for songs in the car thats why i was considering a hub i have SanDisk 128GB Ultra Luxe USB 3.1 Gen 1 Flash Drive - SDCZ74-128G-G46 so i can transfer flac files quickly when iam about to go on a ride

RAID is just an idea to have i am going to have a hub on desk will do some research online as well for future proofing like thunderbolt hub

i have 2 external hard drives and 4 usb pen drives i update all those pen drives with new songs (FLAC FILES) for my car and i transfer video files to watch movies (4k res, Dolby audio) on tv via another external hard drive which plays through usb adapter on tv.

i want to have the hub at desk for convenience, i have the pci card but did not use as i have to constantly go back at the case to plug in and out every time i need to work.
