  1. With respect to above post 5. Also didn't work Next options pending are removing the hard drive and re inserting it in the socket Installing a fresh copy of windows after formatting the hard drive
  2. hello I also got a same error on my laptop hp soectre x360 2018 model with 512gb ssd. Though I don't have a octane drive in my pc. Have tried a lot of things 1. Checking hard disk for errors --none 2. Extensive hard drive check - none 3. Bios update doesn't work 4. BIOS resetting doesn't work 5. Repair of the boot and start up issues via recovery utility.--result pending. Things I have not yet tried 1. Formatting the whole thing and putting in a fresh copy of windows The thing that works for me right now is hard reset. Don't really want to Uninstall and re install everything. Is there any other way out? What does this 3fo error actually mean ? Am I looking at a potential hard drive replacement ? BTW the system diagnostic for me doesn't recognize ssd But when I hard rest it it boots into the windows
  3. How is it possible for Linus to install windows 10 multiple times on each build they do? Do they licence each one saperately?? I also wanted to know what was it Linus had said in one of his videos about a neat trick where he copies windows to a usb drive to check one of his builds??
  4. Newbie question Are smr drives same as Seagate archive drives?? And would i just be using them as external HDD backup data as n when needed? How frequently do I need to do diagnostics on them to check whether they are working fine or not? Thanks in advance
  5. Hello The titles self explanatory. I m looked into the tape drives The drives themselves are pretty cheap the player is not that cheap For current lto 7 in India it's for like INR 5.5 LAC that's approx 8.5k USD. So that goes out I want to store video content on it n mostly won't be looking at same for a while. Also I would like to know for smaller capacity storage like 2 to 4 tb for family photos etc to be accessed quite frequently. Any suggestions are welcome Thanks in advance
  6. @LINUSTECHTIPS team please have your Amazon or any other sites like theitdepot, com We would like to support you guys
  7. Could you tell me the maximum capacity sd card that avermedia lgp2 would accept?? And what size should I use to record something like 2 hours of footage?
  8. Can I use raspberry pi 3 as a video capture and write the data to hard drive ?? What should be the expectation of quality?? Can it work with 1080p at 60 fps?? Is it too high an expectation
  9. Thanks for reply I don't want to use it over a camera It's a laparoscope unit which has output that is projected onto a monitor. I want to record that so that I can have a copy of same and give an edited version to the patient. My unit doesn't have a recording capacity.all it does is take the video input from the laparoscope process it and output to a HDMI or dvi or s video port. This now can be connected to monitor which can be seen. The issue is that if I use a dedicated unit for recording that is provided by my laparoscope company it would cost me a lot to the tune of 2500 usd plus import duty. Hence the need for external capture device
  10. Can something like avermedia live gamer portable 2 used?? Or is it too old to be used currently and would not allow me to upgrade if I upgrade my setup?? Or can I get a small unit made just for recording content and get it exported to a nas from which I can edit content later from a different unit.?? If so please suggest some affordable options My budget is something like 25000 inr excluding nas.
  11. Stand alone unit would be preferred as there is no space in the operating room to keep a pc
  12. Hello everyone I am a doctor in India. I am looking for a video capture solution which is affordable and upgradable. My current setup has an output of 1920x1080 at 60 fps which I wish to record at the best possible resolution. No audio capture is needed. Output is in form of s video and dvi and HDMI ports. The usual capture time required is about 2 to 2.5 hours. I would like to have a recording setup that has easy export method onto a portable hard drive which I can later plug into a pc and edit as needed. Also a long term storage solution for the final output product.
