You don’t really want to cache an SSD with another SSD… you’d want something that is substantially faster or you’re just adding overhead and complexity for no real gain.

Optane or more RAM are the answers.

The MP600 pro is on older 96l TLC micron FG NAND.

KC3000 and Fury Renegade are ok. They are Phison E18 + DDR4 + 176L TLC micron CTF.

The Fury Renegade is an evolution of the KC3000, they reserved more space and increased the longevity of the drive.

Ahh, thought you were between both due to price being similar.  If it's that much cheaper, go with the Samsung. I was making the argument that the Crucial was just as good as the Samsung.   So picking either is fine.  I'd get the Samsung in your shoes.

I'd go with the QVO due to price, however, neither is a bad deal. Both are solid drives, I have a 4TB QVO in my system and have it for over a year and half with no issues. If it's $100 cheaper than the MX it's a no brainer to go with the Samsung.

While I love my Samsung 860's and have 980's for the new machine, I have no trouble recommending the MX500.  It's a solid SSD.

Why would you do that? Depending on what you're doing (specially if it includes some form of graphics output), you'd hinder performance since the 2070 would need to pass the framebuffer back to the 770 for display, generating a bottleneck.

But yes, you can do that.

They don't really "make" the audio as much as they do tweak a few settings and put their branding over top.
You really have to watch and see exactly how much input said companies had into the product; some are merely putting their two bits in, and in return they get to have a lot of essentially free advertising.

I don't think any of the branded cameras have been anywhere near as good as something from Samsung or Google.

Come on guys.. when i read "3D Modeling & Design" I imagine software like 3dsmax, Maya, Blender, etc, software used by 3D artists and designers.. not cad/cam software for engineers. Very misleading title and therefore, video.

M40Xs are good only if you put HM5 pads on them. If you don't like the SHP9500s I'd look at the Takstar Pro 82, Brainwavz HM5, or hey even the Monoprice Retros are super fun with god tier low end and sound stage.

Not a fan of the 280pro. I know why you like them, it’s that Sennheiser sound signature that is just very relaxing and easy to listen to, there’s a reason it’s probably the most loved sound signature. But for the 280s they have probably the narrowest sound stage of any headphone I’ve heard. Because of that their imaging is poor, and if I remember right, (it’s been a little bit) just their overall sound while it has the Sennheiser sound, it overall just isn’t as high quality as even similar priced Sennheisers like the HD558s. Personally I feel the 280pros are greatly outclasssed by the Brainwavz HM5s, SHP9500s, and M40X with a pad swap.

iskander87 reacted to Murilo_A in Tutorial: How to use all your hard drive with Adobe Premiere Pro
So, I needed to joint a video and an audio together, Vegas Pro was crashing and I couldn't fix it, so I decided to try Adobe Premiere (which I have never used before), since it was a simple task, I though it was going to be easy, and it was, but... in the middle of exporting, I realized it was using only 30% of CPU and 100% of the hard drive (disk activity, not space), it was weird, but I left it doing that, turns out that when it finishes, Windows says I'm running out of space, and I find it weird because I had more than 400GB left on the hard drive and 80GB on the SSD, I went into the folder the video were, and I realized it was F***ING 422GB and a bitrate of only 440,000kbps. I don't know what I did wrong, neither how the f*** Premiere managed to do that (it was only a 1.8GB file). If you need to fill up your hard drive for some weird reason, just export a video in Premiere without changing the settings and you're done.

It's more than simply having a DEPTH map.  Each pixel can basically exist in volumetric space.  In contrast, a depth map is a 2D image that is used to derive how far back any pixel in a 2D grid could be.  Deep compositing will allow pixels to be BEHIND other pixels.  This means there's a crazy amount of data.  Some assets were literally like 100-150mb pef FRAME.

Here's an example of a deep image converted to a 3D point cloud, showing the kinds of data held within the image:

There's no real restraint, youtube's algorithm hates spam, so if they where to throw out 5+ videos one day their CPM might be lowered because of the change in video releases, not to mention the lower views per video due to the short time gap.

I'm sure there is some science behind releasing, but video creation can take time for sponsors to agree etc, then theirs videos like this one where the products might take 30-60 days just to get to them, then they can film/edit etc. So a video like this with a intended release in say Oct could be pushed 2 months if shipment was delayed, which gives additional reason for large date differences.

You also want to keep your employees fully employed too so even if you could produce 20 videos a week if you can't keep up that production you might find the revenue and full time employees are not beneficial. This could not just be ad revenue but partners like Tunnelbear might expect lower fees due to the short lifetime of the video. One other thing they rely on are amazon affiliate links, if you keep throwing new videos out people might pass on clicking the amazon link to buy products just to watch the next video, hence lost income.

It's a delicate balance of workload and income from their sources.

Intel issues are way overblown. See https://www.anandtech.com/show/12214/understanding-meltdown-and-spectre for some sanity.

An i7-8700 or i7-8700K provides optimal performance in most of the applications listed. I would suggest an i7-8700 with stock cooler and the best affordable GTX.

Damn! I thought I had crucial ram...  hahahaha, my ram is Mushkin Enhanced Silverline!??  4x8gb 2133 mhz for the scenes I work on mostly I really never use anything near that amount, to be able to use the gpu I need to fix it under the 8 gb of the 1070, which is really not a problem and I don't remember ever being stuck reducing textures quality or anything, but for AE... the more ram the better, although having an ssd as cache helps

for your work and stability I would highly go with the intel/nvidia path
gtx 1060 6gb at least, and if you can grab the 1070 better
Vray RT can use both your cpu and gpu at the same time for render, I was told Final Render now can do it too, and almost all processional software likes cuda
the ssd/ram I would go for the cheapest option of a good brand... crucial MX500 + the cheapest gskill/corsair/etc available or so, it would make not difference
I work with adobe AE/PS and 3ds Max in a daily basis
    https://www.linkedin.com/in/ivpstudios/
now if it were a pc only for render, then R7-1700 + 1070 and a board with lots of pcix16 to add more cards in the future

Cheaper and faster. RAM speed and latency matters less with the Intel platform though. And if the 1050 2GB won't be enough, I'd recommend a GTX 970 secondhand for £200. You can find them on eBay and /r/hardwareswapuk.
