Hey there. After watching Taran's multi keyboard macro video, I got really confused why you'd ever suggest external expensive hardware for macros. Here's a prototype I wrote for some software that does exactly that, for free. https://github.com/Szwagi/taran

Hey, I'm currently using Astro A40 (Gen 2). The headphones are working perfectly, but the volume control is pretty messed up because of time. Volume isn't the same on both ears unless I mess with the volume and set it just right. I want to get a new one, but the price from Astro is just ridiculous (£20). It's this one: I've never seen any other 5 pin jack before, is there any other company making these for a normal price? Doesn't have to have the volume control on it, a straight up cable is fine too.

C++, but the way I use it I guess you could say C. Other than that, I'm waiting for a Jai compiler and probably make a switch for personal projects.

Update: Changed a few things with my overclock and went down by 10 to 15 degrees depending on the core. It also allowed me to lower the voltage a bit. Highest I saw it was 1.315 V in PRIME95. Changing LLC from 1 to 2 was the biggest factor.

I opened the CPU once again, there was what seemed like a little gap in the liquid metal in the middle, so I added a tiny bit more. Took off the silicone too, so it's not sealed anymore at all. The temperatures didn't change at all. I'm hitting 70C even in BF1. I don't understand . The block sits tight on the CPU and there is enough thermal paste. I'm using Noctua NT-H1 and Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra. Temps at 100% pump speed (4800 RPM), 80% fan speed (1600 RPM): Few runs of CINEBENCH: 12 minutes of AIDA64: 30 seconds of PRIME95 (top torture test, max temp):

Thanks! I was left with a few spare parts and had to make 3 custom extenders, that were just threading to keep my tubing straight. Afaik EK only offers 6mm and 12mm extenders and no 0mm. Here's my EK order, totalled around 885 euro: 1x EK-FC1080 GTX Ti - Nickel 1x EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel 2x EK-CoolStream PE 360 (Triple) 1x EK-FC1080 GTX Ti Backplate - Black 1x EK-XRES 100 Revo D5 PWM (incl. pump) 1x EK-RES X3 - TUBE 250 (204mm) 1x EK-RES X3 - Multiport TOP 1x EK-RES X3 - Internal Tube 12/16 40mm 3x EK-HD PETG Tube 12/16mm 500mm (2pcs) 4x EK-CSQ Plug G1/4 - Black 4x EK-HDC Fitting 16mm - Black (6-pack) 15x EK-AF Angled 90° 2F G1/4 Black 2x EK-AF Angled 90° G1/4 Black 8x EK-AF Extender 6mm M-M G1/4 - Black 2x EK-AF Extender 12mm M-M G1/4 - Black 1x EK-AF Ball Valve (10mm) G1/4 - Black 1x EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) 1x EK-CryoFuel Acid Green Concentrate 100 mL 1x EK-CryoFuel Lime Yellow Concentrate 100 mL

This is my new rig! Moved from a i5 2400, GTX 780 (that broke down) and no SSD in a 2008 $20 case to this... I'm very happy. Specs: - i7 8700k - GTX 1080 Ti (EVGA GAMING) - Cosrair Vengeance LPX (3200 MHz) (2x8GB) - Samsung 960 Evo (500 GB) - AsRock Fatal1ty Gaming K6 - Corsair RM850x - Lian Li PC-O11WX - 6x Noctua NF-F12 PPC PWM, 2x Noctua NF-A8 PWM The cables were hand made in my kitchen. Thank you everyone that helped me with my questions, there was a lot of first timers for me with this build! CPU runs 5.0 GHz @ ~1.33v at the moment, temps are unknown as I'm still having some little problems, most likely the delid went wrong, so needs fixing in about a week. GPU runs 2050/6055 MHz in the 44C range on full load.

That's exactly how I resealed It was sitting in the tool for a few hours. Maybe I used the wrong type of silicone so it expanded afterwards somehow? I will delid again and not seal it, but that will be in a few days.

Update: I took apart the block, the "air" was actually a silicone ball from before I started using thread glue on my custom fittings. The temps improved a bit, but they are still bad (66 deg in BF1 @ 1080p Ultra w/ 1080Ti). I will wait a few days, maybe there is still some air left in the system. If the temps follow, is it safe to assume it's the delid? I relidded it, but only with tiny dots of silicone on the corners to keep it attached for transport. I also put some liquid metal on the IHS for contact.
-
Update: I added some soap, it cleared all of the bubbles in the reservoir but whatever is in the block didn't even move. The next thing is even more amazing... I set the pump to 100% to try to push it, and it started vibrating (to a point that you can hear it over the pump sound) Pretty sure that is not air.
-
I delidded it, and I'm pretty sure I did it correctly. There was no "pool" of liquid metal, I also didn't apply much silicone sealant, just enough that it would stick together for transport on 2 corners. I checked the block and it seems fine, there are quite a few air bubbles inside though. The bubbles could be the reason I think. Would explain why I didn't notice it before. The loop still runs clear distilled water because I need to drain it later today. I will report on this after I swap the water for a proper liquid. What is a good way to get rid of these bubbles?

Yes, here are the temps after a few minutes of PRIME95 (~1.35V): The fans went up to 2000RPM for this one Why is the GPU so much cooler compared to the CPU in stress tests?
-
Hey, I overclocked my CPU and I think the temps are a bit off. Delidded, runs 5.0 GHz at offset voltage (-40). Sits in a custom 2x 360mm rad loop. Memory runs at 1.35V, 3000MHz. After Cinebench: According to CPU-Z it ran at ~1.290 V. For comparison, my overclocked 1080Ti sits at 41C in FurMark.

Hey, I just plugged in my new system and the first problem came along. I have the BenQ XL2411 monitor, it has a DVI and a HDMI port. The HDMI port doesn't support 144Hz. The graphics card (1080 Ti Founders) doesn't have a DVI port. I tried a DisplayPort to DVI converted, but I only get 60Hz. I tried the HDMI to DVI converter that came in the box with the graphics card but that gets me only 60Hz as well. Any ideas?
