  1. Still there's the 10% Don't really think the video showed "Real" world enough, and one can never calculate different systems people may have. Many people are still using 2. - 4. gen core i3 i5 and i7's which surely can bottleneck 1000s series GPUs. But in this case, no GPU can indeed restrict a new 8700
  2. Bought mine monstly for watching series/movies in the bed sometimes. Don't mind the "bad" design, I quite like the feel if the back and sides But yeah, the battery life is not very good, and charges sloooowly! Also, the mini-hdmi is handy. Screen is OK, except I got 1 dead pixel 1080p is enough for everything I use it for.
  3. Moto Z Play is still a good phone. Had it for 10 months and performance is still top notch, never slows down. Battery life has taken a hit since Nougat, but still very good. Still cant't drain it in one day, usually end day with 40% Updates are not very often, but dont really care.
  4. I just follow hardocp guide to delid my 7700k, also used their suggested 3d printed tool. Saw a nice drop from 95C to 70-75C in RealBench with a mild OC of 4.8Ghz.
  5. In my experience my 1070 is just barely keeping up with 1440p 60fps. I usually need to turn down some settings. Mostly playing on high. I would recommend the gtx 1080, that way you can run next years AAA games without to much struggle.
  6. I agree, in most cases it won't bottleneck. I could easily play Witcher 3 and some Far Cry games without a problem. But I play some Arma and mostly PUBG so thats where the bottleneck would accur.
  7. Thank you First thing i could think if and yet no one sugested it The fans probably spins up at 51C and goes off againg at 49 or something. I have a Founders card, so I would know if such "Quietness".
  8. If you are throwing an aftermarked cooler on there you can probably overclock it just as well as the Strix version. So Just go for either one.
  9. Yeah, but I can't 100% confirm it. It could have been the PSU, RAM, mobo for some reason. But I used a R9 290 no problem for a while. GPU usage was only at 50-70% in most cases so I said screw it and upgraded to 7700k No point in having 144hz display and getting 70fps
  10. I was just agreeing with you. I had an i7 3770 and it kept bottlenecking my 1070, so that's why I pointed out the clockspeeds.
  11. You have the power of overclocking, the 2400 has a low clockspeed compared. He would most likely struggle with a 1070, but a rx 480 might just work
  12. Really?? Thats kinda dumb... Any perticular reason for Intel doing this? Just for money or some technical reason too?
  13. Defiently a good deal. But doubt you should go any higher than a gta 770, 780, there could be a bottleneck there. But for now the 770 will do alright.
  14. Why not consider a Ryzen 3 CPU? Same price almost, and new technology
  15. With that voltage yeah probably. Are you sure you can't get it stable with less? That 4.6Ghz is almost stock(from boost) and shouldn't need more that maybe 1.20--1.25V(?) Prime95 really makes your CPU hot and is not the best "stability" test out there. I've got my 7700k at 4.8Ghz with 1.27V and temps are decent.
