You need to lay off the drugs brother, the police haven't placed a GPS tracker inside your laptop and if they did why would they make it pause your music after exactly 30 seconds? Weirdest theory ever.

USB 4 is coming soon, so this superstition is definitely not the reason for the wonky USB naming scheme.

    We have DDR 4
We have pci-e 4.0  (or will have)
We have quad core cpus (4 cores)
We have 4 memory slots on motherboards

They could just as easily call it USB 5.0 if this 4 was such a big deal...
They're just morons stupid at naming things.

Any good game is addictive in one form or another.  Same goes for good books, even!!!  That's where the term "Getting lost in a good book" comes from!

Really, really short-sighted and old-fashioned on Prince Harry's part.

@Locutus494 I would also add that having the gaming console as a media centre as well is beneficial.

I think the next gen Xbox models should both include a 4K blu-ray drive. Sure, not everyone will use it - but it also doesn't cost much to include.

That also gives the devs the benefit of being able to use 4K Blu-Rays (Or BD-XL's, even though they're slightly different formatting wise) to store the games on. This will allow larger game file sizes, which is an inevitable trend anyway.

Personally, I prefer digital downloads when it comes to games, because it's vastly more convenient to manage - but that's a choice I've made. I would be displeased with having the choice taken away, even if I personally wouldn't buy them anyway.

I do buy physical media for TV/Movies - I buy Blu-Rays for anything worth owning, and don't own a single digital movie because they're extremely restrictive with the DRM on digital movies.

Seriously Apple, give me two things:
    1. Ability to play iTunes purchased movies from my Plex Server on any device (including non-Apple devices)
    2. Optional Blu-Ray quality download (I'd rather download a 25GB movie file and down convert it as needed)

I do buy some music digitally, but Apple has excellent DRM free music selections (though - again, ability to download ALAC/Lossless would be really great, Apple).

If they're already working on the next Xbox, it had better be at least three years out. It's far too soon for the next generation right now.

And they better not be thinking about omitting a disc drive; they can go screw themselves as far as I'm concerned if they're going to force us to use digital download for everything!

How on earth has any commentary on this video resulted in an argument about whether or not it should be criticised in the manner by which it has.

It's one of the worst attempts at a how to I have ever seen, from a news outlet that has at least some public credibility. It's so bad, and inaccurate, that its actually borderline dangerous in parts. At the very least it runs the risk of huge financial damage to anyone who thinks it's a legitimately well researched piece and follows it's advice.

It deserves every bit of the ridicule and criticism it receives, so can we just ignore anyone defending it and carry on tearing it to shreds until it is finally taken down.

Mozilla is the only company that is pro-consumer and pro-privacy and open internet. All the others are big corporate monopolies. That is why I choose Firefox. Also it is fast (now with Quantum engine).

I don't have an issue with IP rights holders enforcing their IP (it's quite important to make technology move forward), but Hollywood + the Music Industry make a good argument for praying the San Andreas fault drops LA into the ocean. They failed with SOPA, so this is a back-end approach to it.

This is known as "Lawfare", and this is going to play out over years. And it's going to end up being Comcast/Verizon vs MPAA. We're going to be on the side of the ISP in this case. Ain't that going to be fun?

I've been thinking through a few theories regarding the latest round of leaks.  I considered three different possibilities:

    1.  The AIB folks all screwed up somehow.  That means PNY, EVGA, MSI, et al all goofed in or around the same time, and images of boxes, cards, etc got out before Monday.

    2.  The AIB folks were asked to leak the images and then quickly get rid of them.  All in the hopes of generating buzz (it worked!).  And all sponsored by Team Green themselves.

    3.  It's a ruse.  Team Green gave the AIBs a list of phony specs and info and asked them to push that data out, to throw folks' expectations off a bit, leading to Gamescom.

I suspect the truth lies somewhere between 2 and 3.  I don't, for a moment, actually believe that each of those aforementioned AIBs "just goofed" at the same time.  Misinformation is a thing, though, and it's a useful thing prior to a big announcement.
