  1. With XMP my scores were 514, 517, 516 single and 3850, 3856, 3848 multi. With 3900MHz OC they were 504, 507, 508 single and 3804, 3804, 3808 multi. Gonna try LinPack
  2. Hey all I startede playing with RAM OC and seem to be stuck with worse results VS XMP. The thing that confuses is my Aida64 test are better with my 3900MHz OC vs 3200 14-14-14-34 XMP. However when i test in Cinebench R20 my score is lower. See attached picture for timings. I'm running 1.408Vmem, 1.2 SA and IO, 47x Uncore, 5GHz on a 8700k. I tested it stabil with HCI memtest up to 450% and Prime95 large FFT's for one hour. Aida64 XMP: Read: 47550, 47540, 47488 Write: 46600, 46696, 46452 Latancy: 42.9, 42.8, 42.9 3900Mhz OC: 3900 16-17-17-35 mode 1 6-6-24 RFC: 313 stabil Read: 56509, 56165, 56310 Write: 57523, 58126, 57765 Latency: 42.0, 42.1, 42.0 Higher bandwith and lower latency yet my R20 is lower With XMP i get 3850 multicore and 517 singlecore points in R20 With 3900MHz i get 3804 multicore and 508 singlecore points in R20 Can anyone see where i go wrong? any help is appreciated.
  3. @TheEpicDuck @Levent Solved! Found a really old post that said you should DDU first and it fucking fixed it!! GOT MY 1080Ti back baby!!!
  4. @LeventYes, I do. still popping up with "no nvidia display adapters found"
  5. Hey all I "had" a 1080ti that didnt like windowed mode and then i wanted to flash it to see if that would help. it didnt and then i tried different bios' from MSI and when i tried the lightning bios it got bricked. Im now running on the IGP and tried to reflash it to the original and it keeps coming up with "no nvidia display adapters found" tried in dos mode with rufus and it wouldnt run NVflash. I can see my 1080ti in devicemanager any help? hopefully i can borrow my mates 1080ti to reflash my own. but its now 3.30Am where i am and i have spent 6 hours on it now so im going to bed and will be looking into it tomorrow and hopefully there is a ton of advice for me ready in the morning from you guys
  6. I found the problem. For some reason it doesn't like when I run games in windowed mode, which I do with all my games. Fixed now with running in full screen mode. Overclocking works and I had it pulling 300watts without no problems and holding a stable FPS.
  7. @@Morgan MLGmanMLGmanMLGmanMMLMLGmMLGMLGmanMLGmanMLGmanMLGma My PSU handled a 980ti overclocked and pulling 315watts sustained and peaking at 325watts. Hardly think that's the problem however I have an ax860i going in soon. On my 980ti I had the Morpheus on and it cooled it to 72degrees while overclocked and being silent. Or quieter than my CLC with Noctua NF-A14s And my 1080ti is "only" pulling 250watts at 1898mhz at that power draw the Morpheus is gonna be real quite. Will be taking the card apart as soon as I get home and checking.
  8. @TofuHaroto 1: I bought the card used and the guy i got it from didnt do any OC'ing and he renewed the pasta before sale. 2: the plan is putting a morpheus ii on it. Just wanna make sure the card works as intended before hand. might be need if the guy before me did it wrong 3: gonna try DDU @SavageNeo Corsair cx600m. I had a 980ti before and it pulled 315watts oc'ed and my psu did fine with it
  9. it maxes out a 60% after manually oc'ing. It can drop down lower than that. Tried adajusting it up and down in Afterburner it did nothing
  10. Yes How ever when it goes into limp mode I need to restart the pc to get it out of that mode. Also before i had a 980ti when OC'ed pulled 315Watts and my PSU dealt with it easy.
  11. Hey all I recently got a MSI 1080ti gaming x trio and when i overclock the card it goes into a "limp mode"? and maxes out at 60% power draw and my FPS drops even tho the clock speed stays the same. When running stock it goes up to 1860MHz at 70 degrees and when i move the temp, power limit and core "voltage" sliders it boosts to 1898MHz. As soon as i manually start OC'ing beyond that it goes into limp mode. Reason? VRM overheating? PSU power? temps at 1898MHz is 72 degrees. I use MSI Afterburner. I bought the card used and the guy i got it from didnt do any OC'ing and he renewed the pasta before sale.
  12. Look into buying the windows key from Kinguin for about 30$ and save that 90$ or use it to get more powerfull PSU for future proofing as 450W is fine for a 1060 however a bigger GPU might stress it to much. or a SSD upgrade and get a 250+GB SSD. other then that it looks fine. Good luck with it
  13. What mobo are you using and what Vcore is it runing? did you update to the neweste bios?
  14. It would look like a bad mount, try and wiggle it abit if it feels loose tighten it or remount it.
  15. Becasue PC's I really don't why ram does this, the same can happen with GPU's and other devices in PCIE lanes.
