  1. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vZTsx6 Windows 10 64 bit I have a 2x8 GB kit installed in my PC and both of the RAM sticks are recognized in the BIOS and in windows. However, the BIOS says the memory size is 8192 MB and in system it says that only 8 GB is usable. Task manager shows 8 GB is hardware reserved for some reason. Btw I already have the max memory box in advanced boot options unticked. I've reseated both RAM modules multiple times, trying out each one separately in different RAM slots to no avail. Now I don't know if there's something I should change in the BIOS settings or update the BIOS or change something in windows. I wanted to reseat the CPU as a last resort because I don't know if this is a hardware problem or what. The RAM I'm using should be supported by the mobo up to 3200MHz. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-PRO-VD-S/Specification I'm just guessing now but could this be happening because I screwed in the CPU cooler too tightly? (I don't think I did though) BIOS - https://imgur.com/6WNzYQM Windows - https://imgur.com/Htvmfzj Only 2400MHz is showing up instead of 3200MHz but I just mainly wanted to know why only half of the RAM is usable. 2. Sorry, I'm so stupid. I put the setup application on the usb. It's now downloading onto the usb stick. It should work now.
  3. I tried reformatting to NTFS but with the results. I also tried formatting it to fat32 and after I click the 3rd option with USB usbstickname (with UEFI only in CSM settings) it shows a different message: Remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart. And then Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
  4. I just built a computer and flashed the BIOS so it would support R3 3200G. I plugged a 16GB usb stick (NTFS) with the windows iso into a rear usb port. When I get to boot options it shows: Please select boot device: AHCI: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 250GB UEFI: usbstickname PMAP, Partition 1 USB: usbstickname PMAP When I click the 2nd option the screen goes black and the same screen reappears. When I click the 3rd option it says: A disk read error occurred CSM is enabled and I tried switching UEFI only with Legacy only to no avail. https://ctrlv.cz/LEAl I also tried putting the usb stick 1st in boot order. I'm surprised this isn't working because I booted from the same usb stick just fine on an MSI mobo. Are there some settings in the UEFI that I'm missing or is the usb stick the problem?
  5. Thank you so much! It booted with the gpu and I successfully flashed the BIOS. I was worried I damaged the cpu or motherboard but thankfully I didn't.
  6. I have no gpu installed.Yes it does say 3000 desktop ready. It also says desktop 2000 ready. I could try inserting a gtx 1060 and connect to that. Would it post after that?
  7. I just got the parts for a pc I was going to build. The cpu is Ryzen 3 3200g but I had to put a R5 1400 in the pc to update the BIOS. I connected the main power, cpu power and cpu fan, I inserted the cpu with the stock cooler and applied thermal paste. I connected the pc to a monitor via hdmi. After I jump the pc the cpu fan starts spinning but the pc doesn't post. I don't think it's the RAM because I tried different sticks in different positions. I'm worried it could be the cpu because it was kind of messy after I took it out of the other pc and perhaps some thermal paste residue stayed on it. It could also be the mobo but I really don't know. The mobo was initially on a wooden table and I also tried putting it on cardboard.
  8. I'm going to build a pc - Ryzen 3 3200G and Asrock a320m-hdv r4.0. I'll have to update the BIOS with my other CPU (R5 1400) but I don't know which version I should choose to flash. https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV R4.0/index.asp#BIOS Should I go with the latest version or the July 2019 one? Just to make sure when I update the BIOS all I need is the CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, USB flash drive and connect the 24 pin main power and the CPU and CPU cooler, right? (outside the case)
  9. I wanted to upgrade the RAM on my gaming pc to Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x8GB). However, I'm not sure if my motherboard will support it - MSI A320M PRO-VD/S https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-PRO-VD-S.html I also found this on the Kingston site https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?DeviceType=7&Mfr=MSI&Line=Motherboard&Model=96923 BTW I have a R5 1400, GTX 1060 6 GB and 1 stick of Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400.
  10. 1. I tried another hdmi cable but still had that problem. 2. There is no issue with the hdmi cable. 3. There obviously is something wrong with the 2nd hdmi port.
  11. I have this Samsung monitor https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/LT24D391EW/XU/ I use it with my gaming pc on HDMI port number 1. I've recently connected my ps4 into the second HDMI port on the monitor and the colors are off and washed out, the screen ratio and resolution is bad, even changing the monitor settings didn't help. The HDMI cable isn't bad or anything because the ps4 showed the right colors when connected to HDMI 1.When connected to HDMI IN 1 (DVI) it says 1080 x 1920 60Hz but when connected to HDMI IN 2 (MHL) it says 1080 x 1920 60p. Is the 2nd HDMI outputing like that by design or is it some flaw? The monitor is still under warranty. I just don't want to keep plugging and uplugging HDMI cables into that 1 port that works properly. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
  12. Do you think overclocking the GPU would help when the usage of it is 60% at most? But I can try if it'll increase the fps.
  13. I'd like to get around 60 fps in gta online but most of the time it's 50 and even drops into the 40s and occasionally 30s. CPU and GPU usage never exceeds 60% and usually 6,5 of 8gb DDR4 RAM is used. The temps of R5 1400 are around 50 degrees celsius and the temps of the GPU 50-60 degrees. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mNMfKZ (CPU, GPU not overclocked) screenshots- https://imgur.com/a/XlK6t Vsync is turned off, power plan is set to high performance, drivers are up-to-date. Any suggestions on what I should do to achieve around 60 fps in GTA online?
  14. Yeah black screen when I power it on. Even tried hitting delete to see BIOS screen but still nothing.
  15. The pc is running. The led is on and I can hear the hard drive. How could the psu be dead then?
