H100i V2, Replacement Fan Suggestions
OnlyRiggs replied to OnlyRiggs's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Update: The fans arrived today, just got them installed. What can I say! - They are silent!! Max RPM and I barely hear them! Temperatures actually look cooler thus far with a little bit of testing and they look really good with the setup. Thank you very much for the recommendation @PPCs-Kat -
Let me know how you got on or if you need some more help getting out of the loop.

Here is a quick guide over at microsoft support - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/how-to-disable-windows-10-repair-loop/583abe05-cd14-422a-8a24-efe94b3d7eb0

You need to disable automatic repair, For this you'll need to have the windows 10 bootable media either on USB or Disk. Do you have either? If not you can download the windows media creation tool from microsoft.
-
You could boot into an external environment and disinfect the machine, Bitdefender offer a tool for this called Bitdefender Rescue - It can be booted from USB or disk. Their ISO is available on their site.
-
In this case your options are limited. Either try getting an antivirus service installed which will disinfect/remove any shady programs OR Fresh install of the OS ( Preferably try to obtain your data beforehand)
-
Do you have an antivirus/antimalware service installed? I'm assuming you're on windows 10?

It's apples and oranges. Its all about your experience, features are pretty irrelevant. It's relevant to each individual. I'll use whichever device gives me the best featureset for me personally regardless of who manufactures it.

If you're invested in apple's ecosystem i.e paid apps, services, or even any other hardware like Macbooks etc, I'd swing towards the iPhone for convenience. I prefer IOS personally and I've opted for the iPhone 8+ this year as an upgrade from my 6S. Flip a coin, if you're disappointed by the outcome you know which you really wanted.

Go for the 650, I have that PSU now and I've had no problems & as above - if you can for the same price why not.

Update: Went ahead and ordered two NB-eLoop Fan B12-PS - 120mm PWM (1500rpm). Hopefully these work nicely! -
H100i V2, Replacement Fan Suggestions

To be honest I prefer the aesthetics of the e-loops, just felt uneasy after watching a few videos in which they made some odd noises - have you experienced that? How do the e-loops compare for temperatures? -
H100i V2, Replacement Fan Suggestions
OnlyRiggs replied to OnlyRiggs's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Thanks for the suggestions. Think I'm going to give the Noctua NF-F12's a try. If these don't reduce noise enough I'll probably look to switch to an entirely different cooling solution. -
I currently have the H100i V2 installed on my i7 6700K, the stock fans included are high static pressure fans which are great for the dense fins however not so good for noise levels... even at 750-800RPM its very audible. I was wondering if anyone could recommend good replacement fans. From what I can gather, there aren't many static pressure fans rated to the same level as the corsair stocks so anything with proven cooling ability but fairly silent would be great.
