  1. I would prefer it as the APU takes 2GB of ram, leaving me with 6GB, which I doubt will be enough
  2. I am thinking about building a budget gaming PC with one of AMD's new APU's. I have a budget of £540 and would preferably have a SFF Mini ITX PC. I already have a moniter, keyboard and mouse. I will use it for gaming, mostly indie titles and E-sports as well as some web browsing and programming. Here is a PCpartpicker https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/RmMKHh Just imagine the 1500X is a 2400G
  3. My dad is the owner of a small business that sells training. He doesn't know much about IT so I do it for him. He has just gotten £2000 to spend on at least eight(although more would be nice) laptops for training. They will be used for a lot of different things from excel to sage one so Windows is pretty much a must. An SSD, even if it is small, would be great. He wont be doing anything to demanding with them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  4. Eve V seems nice but it will be released in a few months.
  5. Check out the Eve V if you can wait. It is pretty much the surface pro but with thunderbolt and a few other improvements. However the CPU's might be a bit weak and it wont be available for a while. P.S The MSRP on the indiegogo page wont be the real price. It is apparently what would be the price if they were a typical manufacturer. So expect somewhere between the indiegogo price and MSRP.
  6. I am considering getting a new laptop (the eve V) that had a core m3 7y30 processor. My current laptop has an Intel Pentium N3530 in it I was just wondering which one would be faster at the Pentium has 4 cores but the m3 only has 2 with multi threading yet it more recent
  7. If your parents are only going to be using it for web browsing I would suggest Chromium OS. You can either use the Neverware/Cloudready version or use the version straight from the Chromium OS website. Chromium OS is light, secure and easy to use.
  8. While this seems great for a heavy gamer, it appears to be rather large and unwieldy. Plus I kind of want to assemble my own PC as well, as I have never done it before
  9. Hello. My old HP laptop just died and I need a replacement, stat. I have a budget of £700. I mostly used my laptop for web browsing, some light gaming(factorio at low settings) and a small bit of programming. I am currently wanting to get the ASUS chromebook flip C302 for £500 and then piecing together a £200 PC probably with only integrated graphics. Is this a good idea of what to buy, and does anyone have any better ideas. I don't mind Chrome OS, so please no "Chrome OS sucks buy windows" comments, and I want the portability and convenience of a laptop. For the PC I don't need an OS or peripherals. A PC part picker link for the PC wouldn't go amiss.
  10. Is it profitable to use a cloud service like AWS to mine cryptocurrancy. Which would be best? How much could I expect fro using the free credit they give you on AWS Azure and Google cloud platform
  11. I would use it mostly for browsing the internet, coding and maybe playing a few games. I have the OS(Ubuntu) already and all the peripheral I need but I don't have a monitor.
  12. can you give a good PC part picker link please
