Sorry for replying a little late, but "the reason 4 dimms is more stressful is that it's 2 ranks per channel. However 16 gb sticks are already dual rank. So the ranks are exactly the same" (saw it on Reddit). Wouldn't that be the case? (Regarding the IMC stress thing)

The IMC might have a tougher time dealing with it, but does it end up being actually tough? I've seen this CPU as a decent IMC, that's why I guess 2 or 4 sticks would pratically be the same. Another thing, do you think buying the same kit twice would considerably increase the chances of instability versus a full 4 stick kit?

I believe Asus has stated that due to the T-Topology type of motherboard, overclocking would be more stable if the 4 slots were filled. Having 2 or 4 sticks is pretty much the same so I'm looking for 4 sticks because of what I said previously. And by the way 4 sticks looks really good (yes I'm going for a fancy build). I already have an Asus XI Hero. The CPU's IMC is pretty good as well. My main doubt was the overclocking potential of the memory, since I'm trying to go for really high speeds, something like 4000mhz, and just wanted to know if anyone had experience OC'ing those exact same ones.

Hello! I'm buying new pc parts, and as you imagine RAM Memory has a LOT of things to consider before buying it. I got a 9900K and a XI Hero Z390. So, basically I'm trying to go for high speed RAM (if you're interested, my main goal is having high framerates at 1080p). I'm trying to get 4x8gb sticks (due to the T-Topology of this motherboard) and although it might not be a big problem to buy the exact same 2x8gb kit twice, I've seen it's better to go for the full 4x8 kit to prevent extra compatibility issues (correct me if I'm wrong). The thing is, there's not a lot of 4x8 kits from what I've seen. I've seen the F4-3866C18Q-32GTZR (by the way I'm going for the Trident Z RGB's only) with out of the box timings of 18-19-19-39-2N and I'd like to know what you think about it or if you have any experience overclocking that exact same kit (might be a shot in the tard but doesn't hurt asking). I've also thought about the F4-4000C17D-16GTZR with 17-17-17-37 timings although I'd have to buy two 2x8 kits. The third one I have in mind is the F4-3600C16D-16GTZR with 16-16-16-36-2N timings and, if you have also had any experience overclocking this kit, it would be really appreciated. Hello all. This might sound a little weird, but I have a HDMI cable connecting my PC to my TV, because I wanted to try that instead of using Steam Link. The cable is pretty big and it goes through my house perfectly fine. The thing is since my PC is a little far from my living room, the controller connection is not the best. What I wanted to know is, is there a way I can connect the controller to my TV and make it control the PC just fine? I think not, but I don't lose anything by asking. Thank you in advance.

Yep that makes sense. But on the other hand, the CPU OC was a simple OC (from 4.0 to 4.4GHz) and I've seen people with the exact same GPU hitting 2100MHz+ (thing I can't do, my PC just shuts down, maybe because of what you said in the beginning, still weird tho). I should benchmark and try to tune the clocks until its good indeed.

I OC'd my CPU and a few days later I OC'd my GPU, I believe.

I thought of that, but for this specific OC I think it's not necessary to change the voltages of the CPU. I might be wrong tho.

Well I just went on my BIOS and turned on the MSI game boost (I have a MSI Z170A Pro Gaming Carbon mobo).

Hey all. I didn't know in which category to fit this question, because it involves 3 different things. I'm running GTAV on the background right now, and it's really laggy typing this, and it might be because of what I'm going to say next. I have a GTX 1060 ROG OC @ 1939MHz boost clock and 8488 MHz memory clock, with the power target at 116%. I have an i7 6700K @ 4.4GHz. My power supply is a XFX TS 550W 80 PLUS Bronze. Since I OC'd my CPU and GPU, I've been getting weird crashes mainly on PUBG, and now that I was playing GTAV, I noticed that when I was looking through my settings, it was down to like 10fps for some moments. As I said, typing this is also really laggy with GTAV open, running in the backgroud. The usages and temperatures of all hardware are looking fine, so my guess is that 550W is not enough for this OC (?). Would like very much to read your guesses.

Whats up guys! I'm using a UMC22 audio interface where I have connected my AT2020 XLR microphone and my AD500X headphones. I have the Z333 2.1 set and I wanted to connect it also to my UMC22. I already uninstalled the Realtek HD drivers since I'm not using onboard sound anymore, and I really did not want to reinstall them, but I can't seem to find a way to connect my speakers to my audio interface. The back of the UMC22 has 2 outputs for studio monitors (left and right) and my speakers only have 1 cable do connect them (which comes out of the subwoofer). I know that I could use a jack splitter and put my headphones and speakers there, but I've seen that if possible I should stay away from that. Is there any way to turn those 2 channels into 1 only without losing any performance or any other option? Thanks.

The next question I have is, since I'm gonna use the AD500X mostly for gaming, is it a good choice to buy the M50X for some light mixing and listening to music (I want that head-shaking bass). I got a Z170 Pro Gaming Carbon and I heard these 'recent motherboards' have good AMPs and DACs. These headphones have an impedance of like 48 Ohms or something like that, do you think it would be necessary to buy dedicated hardware?

If you want some good bass for that price you will be well served with the Z333, I have those and I love bumping some trap beats in them.

Good afternoon. I've already posted something about this subject, but I want to be 100% sure if the AT AD500X are really worth it. I want good soundstage for gaming, like if some player is running in that position, I hear him running in THAT position. I also f*cking love some strong bass, but for now I think I'm gonna go with the gaming part. (And by the way is the bass THAT bad in the AD500X?) So what I really wanted to know is: are these headphones worth it? I've found them for like 70€ which seem pretty reasonable. Thanks for all your answers in advance.

You'll be totally fine. One thing that might happen is if you have something running on your 60Hz monitor (a video or something that 'moves') you will see some stutter on your 144Hz monitor (no fps drop, just stutter) because NVIDIA things (I don't really know why that happens). But besides that you'll be totally fine and the 1060 is a great GPU.

Hey there. GPU's like the p2000 are not aimed at gaming, they're aimed CAD as you said. But that doesn't mean you can't game on them. Buying a p2000 will serve you well in CAD and in gaming. You can check some benchmarks. There is no need in buying 2 different GPU's I think. Have a nice day.

The question is since I can't find any disassembling videos for this mouse, how do I take that cover out? Is it basically like all the others or does it have some specific things to keep in mind? Thank you all for the answers. Sorry I didn't said nothing about my specs or settings. I didn't because I thought it was a simple thing. The problem was actually simple to fix. I just had to change my game to Fullscreen instead of Fullscreen Windowed (I had it like that because it's easier if I want to press my Windows button and use my taskbar faster). If anyone is still reading this thread and knows why did this happen, I'd appreciate if you told me. Thank you all again for your responses.
