  1. But that is the weird part. The hub I am trying to get to work should be just plug and play (like it has been for all the other computers and even my phone) I am not sure what other drivers I would need to install (The other computer's did not need any special driver)
  2. Yea i tried that several times, uninstalled, reinstalled, even reinstalled all of windows then went to dell and downloaded all the drivers again- no luck
  3. Hi, So I just got a USB C hub for my XPS 13 2-in-1 (7390) and I cannot seem to get my mouse or keyboard to work with it. My external hard drive works fine when plugged into it. I am thinking it is having a hard time finding the USB 2.0 devices through the hub. I know my computer is able to use these usb 2.0 devices, though, since they work just fine if i use a basic USB C-A adapter. Another strange part (and the part where I think it is messing up) is in device manager (pictured below), Only the "Generic Superspeed USB hub" shows up. When I plug it into any other computer the superspeed and another just "Generic USB hub" appears...... (Every once in a while the non-superspeed hub will show up then disappear right afterwards) I am not sure if this is happening because this is the only thunderbolt machine I have tested it on, or some other driver issue (I have gone to dell's website and at least tried to install every USB/Thunderbolt-relevant driver)
  4. Hmm..that didn't work. It is just a generic usb hub off amazon. The HDMI port works. And i have gotten an external hard drive to work on the usb ports. It just isn't working with my mouse and keyboard. Also, my mouse and keyboard will work if I attach it through the included usb c to usb A dongle. I do not know if the problem is with the hub or my computer or some incompatibility between the two. I assumed almost all of these USB C hubs were pretty generic/compatible with almost anything.
  5. Hey everyone, So I just got my XPS 13 2-in-1 and it is awesome. I got a USB C hub and I cant get the computer to see my mouse or keyboard when i plug them in. It can see an eternal hard drive and other comptuters/my phone can see the mouse and keyboard when i plug them into the hub. It only happens with my new computer for some reason. I am not sure if it is a problem with drivers or what. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled several times. No luck. If someone knows what might be causing this or what i can do to fix it, please let me know Thanks!
  6. I got it February 2017 here are the specs i5 6300hq gtx 960m 8gb ram 1tb hdd + 128gb ssd
  7. I went to turn on my laptop when plugged in and i get a message from the Bios saying that my battery has experienced permanent failure and needs to be replaced. And underneath that it says warning, the battery cannot be identified and cannot be charged. This is strange becasue the battery was working earlier today just fine. And when the laptop is turned on with the laptop plugged in, I can see the percentage the battery is at, but it says it is not charging.
  8. I have a razer blackwidow chroma keyboard, I have all drivers, I close all programs, I play at the lowest settings, yet i still get 30-50 FPS. My ping is always under 100 and it never has any packet loss. I'm confused why the CPU is always maxed out. And the keyboard issue Just drives me crazy
  9. Hello,I have recently added a ssd to my laptop and did a clean install of windows onto it. Ever since then, I get really bad lag spikes and my keyboard actions are delayed. I can aim and shoot with my mouse just fine. It is just all controls coming from my keyboard. I have a dell I7559 these are my specs:CPU - i5 6300hqGPU - GTX 960m8 GB ddr3 ramI play battle royal at 1080 low settings and get about 30-50 I noticed that my CPU is constantly at 100% and the GPU hovers around 50-80 percent. Please Help! Thanks!
  10. you're right. Stays at 2.3..... ugh.
  11. Yeah. The bios has speedstep. Should I leave it enabled
  12. Yea. 2.7 on all cores. And GPU temps are the same. When i go to Epic and crank the fans, the game runs at 30 FPS ish with tons of major lag spikes.
  13. I tried changing the power settings and nothing changed. I also checked HWiNFO and the CPU was hovering around 75 degrees. I don't believe it was thermal throttling. It was running at 2.7 GHz pretty much the whole time
  14. I am running a Dell inspiron i7559. Here are my specs I5 6300HQ GTX 960m 8GB ram 128GB SSD When I am playing fortnite, the cpu seems to be the hardcore bottleneck. I get 40-30 FPS on low settings at 1080p, but the CPU is constantly at 100% while the GPU hovers around 50-70. I was wondering how if my CPU is really that bad, or if there was possibly something wrong. In task manager, it says fortnite is only using 70ish percent of the processor. I used to be able to run the game just fine, but now i get huge lag spikes. I even tried a clean install of windows.
  15. That was it! I didn't see that driver. I got the dell support assist and thought that the driver check thing would've installed all drivers i needed
