  1. Good morning, You have omitted the final ". Change this code: <a href="file:///H:\Why\Why.htm> Into this code: <a href="file://H:\Why\Why.htm">
  2. Good morning, What is it you want to create? Many languages replicate the same functionality. During the course of my degree, I have been thrust into the position of Java. Have a look at different projects created with different programming languages and find a language that takes your fancy and read up on it. It is not for anyone else to tell you what language to learn first, you decide. (Unless if it is for academia, work, et cetera.)
  3. Good morning, If you use a language like Java, you could just type out the program on one line, the compiler would understand it, but it would not be readable.
  4. Good afternoon, You appear to be having three instances of Spotify running.
  5. Good morning, Quite correct RollinLower. In some cases there can be crossovers with different acronyms, an example of this might be DVT, it stands for Deep Vein Thrombosis, or in the tech world Digital Video Technology, et cetera. It would be a little difficult to run on a forum, if you started a thread for the terms it could very quickly go off topic.
  6. Good morning, I wonder if it would be beneficial to have a glossary that explains acronyms such as RAM, the difference between Mb and MB, et cetera. This might help less experienced users understand what terms mean what. I would appreciate your thoughts. Regards, Richard.
  7. Good morning, In my opinion you shouldn't. The only benefit to switching to Linux is a more open feeling. With Windows, you are tided to the limitations of the operating system. However, with Linux you are able to configure the operating system to more or less how you require. I don't use Linux as a day to day desktop machine, I run MAC OSX and Windows 10, on a few occasions my university work has called for it. I tend to use Linux for servers. If you wish to try out Linux maybe create a virtual machine (VM), that way if it breaks you can recreate the VM.
  8. Good morning, Ubuntu would most probably be the best choice. It has a rather good user interface, with a familiarity to windows. However, with specified device I would recommend a Random Access Memory (RAM) upgrade and an upgrade to the Solid State Storage (SSD). If you are unfamiliar with how to upgrade your device, I would have a look at iFixIt, or failing that have a look for a company that could carry out the upgrade for you.
