  1. Nope, Corsair and BeQuiet! both offer ones that dont spin on idle. Was going to put one of those in there.
  2. That was exactly what I was thinking!!! Woot someone else thinks i can do it!
  3. Yeah, I'm quite aware of that, the cpu cooler is designed the same way. It obviously not going to work any load for a long time. And as I said before, it's all just an experiment for fun.
  4. I was assuming I would have to really open up the case in certain areas just to allow room temperature to flow in and out on its own. Might have to test it in my dark, cool basement if I have issues. : ]
  5. Okay, I'm going to start off saying I know this is a very impractical build and there's no cost per performance whatsoever. Now that that is taken care of, Fun Time! So i've seen some really quiet builds, and my own pc is built around BeQuiet! And I love thier products. I found a passively cooled 1050ti, and was going to throw in a psu like bequiet or the corsair that has no fan running at idle. Throw a m.2 in there. I also found a cpu cooler that has okay heat distribution just off of computer case airflow. I'm not going to have any case fans running, so the heat is going to have to rise out of the case on its own. So I was wondering your guys' opinion on this, I was thinking of doing a ryzen 1600 and downclocking it. You guys have any suggestions. As for my real pc: 1080ti, 6700k, so this is simply for fun.
