on an asus board id be suppriesed for the sustained loads on the 11600k to be so low... maybe on a msi, im not sure what tohey are doin about the intel guidance, but I know that msi has been doing shitty things and I personally would suggest to avaoid them.

Those temps sound pretty good. You should expect your temps to be quite high when running an intensive program like cinebench R20 for some time.

AKG K712's maybe? But they don't have a inline volume controller.
    They've got a detachable cable.
    They're lighter at 235g.
They've got a really good soundstage which is great for gaming.
I dont personally think they have a "gaming aesthetic."

What is your budget? To answer your question tho. No, they simply aren't. The build might be nice. But the comfort and sound is so f'ing bad compared to good headphones with a seperate mic or for example cooler master MH/52 since they are studio monitors reskinned with a good mic on it.

Draconid reacted to Mister Woof in Vega 64 ryzen 5 1600 bad performance
1600 is slow as balls without an OC, it will go to all-core 3.3ghz. Even with the spire, it can do 3.8 pretty easily without any offset or only a small amount. Mine can do 3.8 @ +.156 offset (around 1.38v) but its not a great sample.

The Vega 64, as well, sucks from the factory. Especially the blower models. Undervolt it a little, increase power limit, and ramp up fan curve.

Also, all those games you listed are heavily reliant on single threaded performance. In which case the 1600 is an underdog. Overclock it.

Yeah my bad I misread the price of the 1600. You are already on a budget and well just don't go for rgb then or keep it simple and use a led strip. Rgb is for when you have money left to spare.

Draconid reacted to JazzzOnYourDace in Which CPU is best? Ryzen 2700x or Ryzen 3600?
Cool, so it seems the 3600 is the way to go. I'm looking at the asrock b450m steel legend matx board as I have an matx case and on the motherboard thread this was the best rated motherboard for this chip at this size (matx)

Is this system strictly for gaming? If so, a 3600 would be fine. You won't see a difference between the two.

B450 board will do fine for the 3700x, if that it the route you still went with

Your storage setup is horrible, sorry to say. Overpriced for both drives. You can easily get a 1TB NVMe drive + a 2TB barracuda for that price.
Overkill power supply. 650w would be more than enough.

I think it's foolish to spend money on something that will be outdated in a few months.

I'd consider buying a 1TB NVME SSD before prices go back up.
2400mhz RAM is an odd choice as well, as it's robbing you of considerable performance. I'd consider upgrading that to faster memory.

Don't buy corsair. Shit keycaps, mediocre build quality and their software is just bad imho, bit better than Logitech though. The Azio keyboard use blue switches, they are tactile and clicky, the one I linked has red switches, they are linear light switches unlike the blues witch are heavier.

    Hello,

Use real benchmarks like Cinebench R15 or R20 for the CPU.

3D Benchmarks or Unigine for the GPU.

    Compare them online.

    Userbenchmarks is garbage.

Draconid reacted to Sir0Tek in 33 errors in a memtest, what does that mean?
No need to, I guess. I think that one of the 4 sticks is faulty. If memtest86 is showing the same adress/adress-range it usually points on a single stick. Try 0&2 without 1&3, that should also show errors, but on a slightly different adress (4gb down). Then 1&3 without 0&2, these should work flawless.

Draconid reacted to Fasauceome in Why are technology so cheap in Germany? AMD Threadripper 3990X costs just 4 Euros and a Mac Pro costs €64
Germany is actually where most electronics are grown. A German can just grow a Threadripper tree in their yard, or go to the local orchard and get a bushel. They have to be shipped to the US so the tariffs kill the value.

In some games maybe 3-4% more. Otherwise it's identical.
Though there's more to the 3600 than that. AM4 chipsets will be supported up into the next generation of chips, Z390 will not. This will make it a super easy process to upgrade down the line when you choose to do so.

Plus its cheaper and the the 3600 comes with a cooler.

    Hi there.
Your entire PC with i5-8400 and RTX2060 Super will only consume around 250W under heavy load, so you don't need a 650W PSU.
RTX2060 Super itself only consumes around 180W under load.

nJoy Wooden has a fake 80+ rating and wasn't tested by anybody, so we have no idea if it's garbage or good.
Pure Power 11 is good, while Corsair VS650 is low quality.

To properly help you choose a PSU, we need to know the particular web stores you're buying from. We can't just blindly start suggesting power supplies from  USA market, because you're from a different country with different options and prices.
