The most generic door handle that any other car's handles with fit and work functionally...

At least they got something right?

Well, I'm glad that the vast majority of people like it.  I only spent 900 dollars for it.

@Kaloob I'm not sure on the top of my head, it was a rebuilt vehicle that was totaled though.

The engine and transmission works well, the fuel pump needed to have it's eletrical wires re routed to a manual rocker switch.  The AC turns on, but it's not cold whatsoever, but it could just need some coolant.

It came with some massive bass radiators that I could hook up as well.

Oh, also, the windshield is cracked.

Don't put HFC until you check for leaks and a healthy bearing and stator.

Insurance has to cover the windshield if it covers from one side to the other or impedes vision.

You shouldn't put coolant in a system that's leaking. It'll dry out and rupture the compressor's rings and [expand the] piping.

The only reason that HFC is a liquid is that it's under pressure. Once the compressor starts rolling it will turn the gaseous HFC to the coils to the high side and radiator until it condenses enough liquid to reach box and gas up the compressor again.

I don't usually touch A/C components unless it's just the pipes or bearing.

I could totally upgrade that radiator.

    I definitely would

    Spoiler

    put a turbo.

You were expecting sarcasm? Not happening.

    @Kaloob It's a civic.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if a new one was put in due to it being a rebuild of a totaled vehicle.

Time to challenge that 120MPH "maximum".

I have no clue where the AC part is.

  14. Skanky Sylveon

    Skanky Sylveon

I don't think that I have any of the AC system.  I at least don't have the hoses.

  15. ARikozuM

I see a pipe that could be the high side, but I don't see a low side. What I am looking at might be the EGR line.

I decided to ask the seller since he did work on it before selling it to me.

It's not a big deal, but I would like to get the AC up and running before doing any long trips.

    Skanky Sylveon

Alright, the manual window versions don't come with AC, but it's easy to install AC in them from a 1992-1995 honda that has one.  My mom has an old 4 door non functional Honda lying around that she'll allow me to gut.

Of all the things to line up...

    Mere coincidence or higher power?

  19. Skanky Sylveon

    Skanky Sylveon

@ARikozuM We knew that we had a viable parts car, and that was a huge factor of the purchase decision.

  20. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

Good on you! If there was no parts car, would you have chosen this anyway?

  21. Skanky Sylveon

    Skanky Sylveon

@ARikozuM We would have definitely thought on it more.

I'm thinking about hooking up a raspberry pi in the car.  It apparently has a GPS OS.

    Retropie would also be cool.

    @Schnoz I'm aware, I have a pi 3b+ just sitting around though.
