Does anyone know what kind of coffee maker this is?

My mom keeps on saying that it's a French press, but all of the French presses online works completely different.

Edit: I found out what it is.  It's a moka pot.

I only know it in Hungarian but, according to the Internet, it should be called Moka pot in English.

Welp, I didn't see the edit xD

Is the shelf with spices turned by 90 degrees or is it the rest of the kitchen?

    That's... not a french press...

Those are known as moka pots, infusion kettles, or strainer kettles.

I used to use those, but they were inefficient for yerba mate and tea.

@Cyberspirit There's nothing wrong with a 17 year old bitch of a babysitter having sex with a 12 year old boy.

None. And none. I hate both. The french press would be my go to, but it serves a different coffee market.

Not sure if new Moka pots are different or not but, if you don't tighten it well enough they can blow up so, watch out for that.

"pay for it" and then negotiate for a lower payout than he started asking for.

I would recommend a good french press. Moka pots are generally for a specific kind of coffee, espressos I think.
