That's a very acceptable response and solution. 

I did a bit of research, and it seems like some of the odroid PSUs have severe ripple, and that's kinda like what it sounds like, this would also explain why the odroid is resonating with the sound.

Such severe ripple can cause stability issues, especially in high power demanding tasks.

I'm satisfied with the solution, but just keep in mind, the odroid PSUs are pretty cheap, so getting an aftermarket one may be a good idea. 

I may still do that.
