  1. Yup, that one. Guide: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-11-10-2017-sennheiser-game-one-added.534479/
  2. I was thinking of getting mixamp + magni 3, based on the gaming headphones guide on headfi. Not sure about mixamp, but magni should be a significant improvement in itself.
  3. I just got HD6XX and I'm currently using it with Dragonfly Red. The music experience is amazing, but the gaming part is a little less optimal in terms of spacial sound. Is there any DAC/Amp that would improve the situation? Will I hear any difference if I get shiit stack instead of Dragnofly Red? Thank you!
  4. I don't have anything related to TB in msconfig
  5. Intel Turbo Boost doesn't seem to be working or, at least, I don't have a way of confirming that it's working. I tried monitoring core clock speed with both CPU-Z and Intel Turbo Boost Monitor, while running Prime95 one-core benchmarks and gaming. It never exceeds 2.8 GHz (i5-8400). Troubleshooting steps I've tried: -confirmed that I have the latest BIOS version and Turbo Boost is Enabled in BIOS -confirmed that Windows is in High Performance power mode -ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool, all tests were passed, detected 2.7 CPU frequency -installed Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Confirmed that it shows Turbo Boost as "enabled". Ran a benchmark and it still shows MAX frequency at 2.75GHz My question is: is there any way to confirm that Turbo Boost is working? All benchmarks and monitoring tools show 2.7 GHz clock speed at all times under heavy load (yes, including 1-core tests). I'm starting to believe that Turbo Boost is not working. In that case, is there any way to troubleshoot it? https://pcpartpicker.com/b/FPKBD3 (i5-8400, ASRock z370m-ITX, GTX 1080, 16GB DDR4-3000, Corsair SF450W, Win 10 Home)
  6. Thank you for your input! That's the kind of opinion I'm really looking for
  7. Because my PC is limited to 70-90 fps at 1440p. By switching to 1080p I expect to improve fps significantly. Though I get your point and that's why I'm torn apart.
  8. Well, that's my question, kind of. I don't care about "getting an edge in competitive gaming", but I do wonder if fps above 90 genuinely improves gaming experience and whether 1080p is acceptable at 24''.
  9. I need advice on what, in your opinion, has a bigger impact on the image quality: higher FPS or higher resolution (essentially Asus PG248Q vs Dell S2417G). A little backstory. I got myself Dell S2716DG on sale from Best Buy and I honestly think it's too big. I get dizzy playing some games and I feel like there is a color shift by just looking at the left/right-most sections of the screen. Thus, I decided to return the monitor and get a 24-inch. I need a gaming monitor, but I do care about image quality, so my choices are either Asus or Dell (both are $400). My PC is capable of outputting 70-90 fps at 1440p. Here is my question: in your experience, what would provide better image quality/gaming experience: 1440p at 70 fps or 1080p at 144fps (both at 24''). Thank you!
  10. I would appreciate any recommendations! Also, I'm not opposed to any analogues of Mx Browns, such as Romer G or Razer Brown (I think).
  11. The size of the card is not an issue, the case accommodates full-sized cards just fine. The problem is that it leaves very little space left for proper air circulation and, hence, everything runs pretty hot even without OC. As a matter of fact, I think I'll have to go with a blower-style card, to make sure hot air is forced out. From what I've learned so far, it looks like blower style cards are the worst kind of cards, unless you absolutely have to go with one...
  12. Thank you for the advice! However, I plan on getting a very compact case (Node 202). Cooling is a serious concern and I'm not sure I will be able to OC. Not to mention, I've never done any OCing before and don't have experience with it.
  13. I plan on buying a 1440p 144hz monitor. Therefore, I was planning on buying gtx1080. However, I want to get a g-sync enabled monitor. If I understand it correctly, g-sync will make everything look smooth, even if FPS are way below 144hz.
  14. PUBG, BF1, online shooters...
