Okay I'll be using Photoshop tomorow. I'll give that a shot and report back what I find.

MegaBitTech got a reaction from DexterSmythe in PC graphics upgrade undecided
First, 'grats on passing your A levels.
I agree it sounds like your card is overheating. Tbh, Im not sure a watercooler is going to do much good.
Honestly, the decision is yours. It sounds to me like you really DON"T want to replace your GTX 970. If that is the case, I'd save your money and wait for Volta to make it's debut. As a side note, I wouldn't sell it to a friend UNLESS that friend knew about the problems and was comfortable handling them.

MegaBitTech got a reaction from QuantumBit in Dust problem?
Honestly, your best bet is to get new filters. It doesn;t look like the S340 comes with replaceable filters, just the metal "filters" built into the case. If that is true you can mod the case to fit something that resembles the mesh they use on screen doors. I might take a stroll down to my local PC shop and see what they have. Otherwise, get a new case or a air compressor.

MegaBitTech got a reaction from Zando_ in Does storage affect laptop performance?
First i5's and i7's are processors (CPUs) and HDD/SSD are your hard drsk drives. They are to separate things. HDDs/SSDs do not effect CPU perfomance and vice-versa. SSDs are faster at accessing the information stored on the drive in part because of the way it catalogues stored information. SSDs will make your computer boot faster but IT WILL NOT BOOST CPU performance.
