My Dad has an Apple TV 3 and every time it is turned on, it asks for his password. It also will not play any shows on Apple TV+ even though he has a subscription and they play on his iPhone and iPad. All devices are under the same Apple ID as well. Any ideas?

I still have not been able to resole the issue -
So where does Riley's Central Park line come from?
-
Well then, you will love the integration between the Mac and the iPhone.
-
So do you have an iPhone?
-
It's worth looking into. There are some things I do love about them. I just switched back to iPhone after switching to Android (mainly Pixel and Samsung phones) over the past 4 years. So having the seamless integration between my MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar 2018 model, Apple Watch Series 4, iPad Pro 10.5 inch 2017, and iPhone XR has been so great! Much better the having a Lenovo Thinkpad, random Fossil and Huawei smartwatches, Samsung Tab S2 9.7 inch and whatever android phone I had at the time. I used to be all Apple before 2015 and switched platforms and now I'm back and overall, love it! I still have my customer gaming PC (parts listed below) and as a "computer" it is way better than having an iMac or something. Especially since I use it to game too. I do have windows 10 on my MacBook Pro too via "Boot Camp" and it's actually awesome, so I get the best of both worlds. The keyboard has actually grown on me too, even though I made fun of it since they switched to the butterfly switches. I do use Google Homes too and have Google Assistance installed on my iPad and iPhone so at least that's available too. And having an Apple TV and AirPods doesn't hurt too. Just my opinion though.

Ha, if only it were that simple. One of the downsides of MacOS. There are no drivers or adapters. At least not accessible. It's supposed to "Just work" like Steve said. Most of the time it does and that's what makes the OS great, especially for less computer literate people. I think I fixed it though. I removed the "WiFi service" by clicking the (-) symbol in the network system preferences and added it again by clicking the (+) sum, bol. It remembered her network and joined it automatically and it works much better so far. It's an old model so she does need an upgrade soon, but by dad is trying to avoid that for as long as possible.

Good pun though

I don't think it's that because if we restart it, it will work for a day orzo then stop again.

My mom has a Mid 2012 MacBook Air and it says it's connected to WiFi but there is not internet access. My Laptop works fine on the same WiFi router. Any ideas?

I have aN 8700k overclockedf to 5ghZ , an EVGA 2080 XC overclocked and 32GB of G Skill Trident Z 3200 MHz RAM. I have 2 Samsungf 1TB 860 Evo SATA SSD's and a 970 EVO M.2 500GB SSD and a Samsung 680 EVO 1 TB M.2 SSD. I have a 1440p 1440HZ monitor and a couple external HDD's and Courseair RGB Platinum keyboard and Logitecg G900 mouse and a FocusRite Scarlett witth Alesus Monitors. Good Setup/ Im sure there's more I;m forgettingh (Case Fans etc). Is a EVGA 650W 80+ Platinum Power Supply enough. I keep haveing (few) crashing issues in games. Mainly GTA V and a few tearing issues in others. I have lowered a clockspeeds (CPU, GPU, RAM, and I have the same issues but just worse FPS. Is it my PSU?

I would wait for 3rd gen Ryzen. It's not a good idea tgo build a month before a new platform launches. Once the test results are in, you may be kicking yourself for buying 2nd gen. If not, at least the 2nd gen may be cheaper then. Also you might look at getting 3200 MHz memorty. Ryzen seems to like the fastest RAM possible. May not make a huge difference but it couldn't hurt. I would upgrade the PSU when you get a new GPU so you know what will make sence with tht card.

It should be called the Mac Industrial. Their Pro lineup was originally for small businesses or independent content creators exe. home recording studios, wedding photographers/videographers, graphic designers. People that would pay more because this is how they made their money. This product is for companies like Pixar and Lucasfilm. That's fine but I wish they had a $1.5k 5k monitor and a $2.5k - $3k desktop. I guess they are just assuming that those people will just get iMac and they may be right. Still would like them to make cheaper display. Pretty much an iMac screen by itself that can plug into a MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt 3.

Isn't it crazy how different it is for everybody?! I mean, it makes sense considering no one has the same hardware.
