Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? I'm looking for a 2-in-1 with stylus and note-taking capabilities comparable to a Surface but without the weak magnetic keyboard of the Surface Pro and less than the price of the Surface Book. The pen support is my priority since I want to be able to take notes and draw diagrams.
How important is weight and thinness to you? Not too important.
Which OS do you require?
Windows
Do you have a preferred screen size? Anything in the 12"-15" range is good.
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming?
Not a gamer or editor, but I will be using programs like OneNote for note-taking.
Any specific requirements such as a good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? My focus is quality of screen/pen compatibility for the best possible note-taking. I'd also like something relatively durable since I will be carrying it around in a backpack.
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I've so far looked at the HP Spectre x2, Mircosoft Pro 2017, and EVE V and haven't been able to figure out which would be better for me. I'm going to be a computer engineer in college and I would prefer a laptop that I can handwrite on.
I don't need this new laptop until September, so when would be the best time to buy/ best sales?
Thank you!
