Look for laptops on the used market that meet your criteria, it's not worth buying a brand new laptop at this price point. 

I guess it's gona be perfect for your use case, but the resolution is left to be concerned, it's not bad but it's like my 2012 laptop
As long as it has Storage Expansion then you should be fine

Scratch that, not overly pleased with that build as the quality of the parts isn't as good so gonna stick with the ryzen.

1050 and 1050ti cannot SLI, and this image has an SLI connector. So no it's not

by looks do you mean image quality or physical appearance?

Rather than deleting individual partitions, reformat the whole drive.
 
Open a command prompt as Administrator, then type:
 
C:\Windows\system32>diskpart DISKPART> list disk DISKPART> select disk *number of disk from friends machine" DISKPART> clean   Be very careful that you select the right disk when you use this, as you'll break your main system partitioning if you do it on your own internal disk.   If you want help, take screenshots and post here before using the "clean" command.

Probably a dying SSD TBH.
 
You can try sfc /scannow in a command prompt with admin permissions and see if that helps.

yep go see a doctor to clean it professionaly . after that you can ask him how to do that . sometimes they reccomend  kind of spray that dissolves the wax and poors down your ear 

I should say by "working machine" I mean you add the drive in question to the machine. you dont replace that machines drive. simply plug it in as a secondary drive

Unless he's going to get Gigabit fiber to a 100 year old house, he wont have to worry much about getting an 802.11 AC AP slowing down his internet. Configuring a ISP owned device is a NIGHTMARE full of pitfalls, traps, and LOCKOUTS. Hell. No. An ap is just about damn near plug and play.
 
As for cellphone signal, if it IS bad and you are in an area where coverage is supposed to good to excellent, many carriers will install a repeater at the property for little to nothing..

yeah i got that but still you shouldn't have that many problems  because of the walls blocking the signal

Overclocking offers a linear increase in speed. If you overclock the processor by 10%, the theoretical performance improves by 10%. The neat thing about the i7-2600K is it's fairly easy to get to 4.6-4.8 GHz turbo on air cooling. This is between 20-25%, which is usually considered significant.
 
Though, heat and power consumption also increase linearly.

If your 8320 rig is doing what you want it to do then keep it. I know we always want more but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also my 8320/7950 rig is still running strong in my garage!

Now is really one of the worst times to be building a system if it requires a lot of GPU power as GPU prices are very high at the moment. The rest of the system components are priced okay, but the GPU will be very expensive, so I'd advise waiting if you can.
